Where does he get his business head from?
Im sure his favorite line is "are they worth it?"  Good question to ask at his age!

On another note Nephew have a look here for all the discussion on the Elites... http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=1006.0

When I took him home yesterday he asked me how one posts on the forum  ;D

I told him  :o  Oops, sorry.

Yes he does have a very simplistic way with words, they appear quicker than he thinks them  ;D

He is a little treasure though  :D :D

Well as far as I can remember, my dear cousin (nephew), has been in A&E a fair few times. :o The last time was because of a broken leg at the beginning of august.

It was a good job he was wearing my wristguards on his very first outing as he fell over and scuffed them. >:( That would have been a broken wrist and another trip to A&E.  :)

On the subject of elites  and in particular  the hooves. Ive seen ( ill try and refind and post here  but at moment i dont have a large attention span to do stuff due to a damaged nerve in my neck)

A guy in OZ ( OK health warning  he is a dealer I have to say  but seems OK for all that hehe)  has posted some pix of hooves after 2 months and about 10 hours a week. Now maybe he only bounces on grass. But I gotta say hardly anywear deffo looked good. Ive just replaced my 7's hooves after 6 months ( summer) use. They looked the equal.

As for are they worth the money? Well it depends what you do with your stilts. Lets step to 1 side and look a bikes . To cycle to work ( or me to work) a £75 bike from tescos would be perfectly fine and a £1200 full suspension down hill mountain bike really quite pointless. However  if at the weekends you were likely to fling yourself down a 1/2 mile long 1 in 2 or 3 trail  then I suspect the added expence would pay dividends.

The elites will probably make a difference to people who push the envelope.  People like Kiola I remember 10-11 months ago when he posted vids of himself teaching himself to do flips. Now you see such vids posted all the time. This guy more or less worked it out frm 1st principles  and did it. Soul Rancher. He got his pro jumps oo 8-9 weeks ago. I met him 1st at the 10dayish point. He was having great fun. But the technique really wasnt there. Basically he has been ''hothoused'  and been given advice and examples on an almost weekly basis and is just soo close to his 1st flip.

These guys would 'use' elites. But to be honest  this is not a terribly expensive sport and elites should be pretty affordable to most.  But equally dont think you hav to get the top of the range ( you can still go down hill on a tesco bike ;D)

I agree with Bbmthbloke on the points raised above...

At the moment there is this thing that if you don't have a certain brand you can't be proud of what you got. Eg: If someone’s got sky runners or flying locust brands they get comments like "oh they will fall apart, "they crap them" and the rest of it which isn’t entirely true! At times people feel embarrassed by what they have and feel they have to upgrade their equipment to next pricey option on the market.

The way I see it is you start at with what you can afford and only when you have developed your skill enough and your current stilts are “dying” should you think about upgrading your stilts.

The Elites are different, they look cool, they are lighter BUT they won’t give you additional height or bounce unless you have a good technique. We will try to keep the price affordable as well so you have a choice between the current model & the Elites too!

Whether the Elites are worth it would depend on how you get on with them & how much you like them.... One mans metal is the next mans gold  ;)
