Hi all, I am wondering if anyone else here, donates blood, rarely or on a regular basis, I know I am one!! If you don't then you should, think on how many people can be saved by spending some time just giving blood!!

I MASSIVELY wish I could donate. Its one of the things I really want to do. But alas, I cannot. Tis crap.

i use to give blood, till i ended up collapsing as i didnt eat anythign before i gave blood,

Only joking SX well done it's people like you that save lives and make the world go round keep up the good work and eat all the biscuits they offer (or is that old now

im probably one of they few on here who cant give blood because i have a heart condition so when all you lovely people give blood one day it could go to me when i have my heart OP

so i really think giving blood is an amazing idea and i would if i could

After my car crash I gave blood for years ( 23 pints ), I started for they changed the number of time a year you could go.
I would still be doing it but there's a 1:300,000,000 chance I could have had MAD COW's thanks to the blood I was given after my crash !?
Told people like me " Sorry but no thanks !? "

I was on the Anthony Nolan Trust list and I even had a possible match and give another sample of blood, but I wasn't needed ?

I have considered giving blood many times but you cannot give blood if you have recently had a tattoo or piercing. This can be from 6 months to a year afterwards.

How long do they ask you want to rest after, I'd say none and sometimes they say fine and I'd go others said 5 minuets.

They said don't wash your arm for a couple of hours because they've gone in a vain ... never told them I'd stop in on the way to jet-sking ! LOL

More poeple should give blood you never know when you'll need it your self. Yes it hurst a little bit but it's a nice to know you could be saving a life for a little bit of discomfort

I do give blood ive done it 3 times now since i turned 18 i cant do it as often as i like as i love my tattoos so i tend to donate inbtween getting tats done lol

Booo, my stupid meds prevent me giving blood, due to it being a class A and controlled drug... I do beleive I need to be off it for months and months before I can give blood. And thats not gunna happen

I do, but the last time was a while a go, due too my tatoo's, it used to be a year, but it then it changed to 6months, had my last tatoo in August, so need to wait a while till I can go again, but im looking at some more ink, over my shoulder this time, so it could be a while longer!
