Record breaking

Carma set a record of most power bockers at a meet which I believe the World Record People are counting as a record  :)
But I found this !?
North Park Collegiate Teacher, Ted Thomas and his Grade 10 leadership class have taken on the challenge to attempt to beat the record of “Most People on Stilts” currently held by the internationally famous “Cirque du Soleil.” It was set on June 16, 2004 and stands at 544 stilt walkers each walking 100 meters simultaneously.
Which is a lot of people  :o

Capital Bocking Cardiff looks likely to be a lot bigger than last years 69 bockers but I think we'd be push to be the "Most Stilts" record !?

I was thinking what records could be do on our springed stilts at get on the World Record list ?

Most Power Bocks ( more than likely smash that { Sorry Carma })
Fastest Stilt runner ( We say 20mph but who's do that !? )
Highest jump in stilts

We could try silly ones to !

Most people on stilts doing the Conga ( which could then be the start of ... )
Most people on stilt to sit in each others laps ( big circle ) :D

So what record could we try ?

Ok, here's an update, we are still working on processing the numbers so as of yet it isn't official. But we are nearly there. There are NO previous World Record Attempts. Due to various hiccups we have been having its taken a LOT longer than expected. And due to a deteriation in my own health as of late I havent had much chance to work on it. I will be picking it back up as soon as I am better guys.

Also, our record title is officially 'Most number of people similtaniously on Spring-Loaded Stilts'

There are records held already on powerbocks, Dusty12 posted this a while back:
Got it! http://www.ashrita.com/records
Look down the list-Number 19 I think EDIT: Also number 39 :o
I think I could beat this one. I can run faster than that without PJ's EDIT 2: AND number 62 :o :o

Here they are:

Stilt Walking Fastest 8 kilometers (4.97 miles) 39 min 56 sec Dec 2004 China

Stilt Walking Fastest mile 7 min 53 sec Aug 2006 Guatemala

Rope Skipping on Stilts Most jumps in one minute 129 Nov 2007 US

July 4th 2007 There was a record of 19 backflips on jumping stilts by "Jesus-Halfanimal" see http://www.halfanimal.com/guinness.html

Then during the BBC1 feature on Scouts Powerbocking, Becky's friend Mike set the official world record holder for 400m sprint on bocks at 1:10.2 but he thinks he could have set it a lot higher if it wasnt done on a "winedy gravel road with tons of pot holes and wet spots"

These are just the ones we know about so I'm sure there is loads more about!

I've seen most of them too !?
So that's something else we should do, put these all on a list so we can quote them.  :)
And we can also try beating them  8)

What's about High-Jump Record? Is there a validated high greater 2,4m ? (Without flip!)
