Being micro-managed now - RANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so furious my blood is physically boiling.  As well as being spied on for my web and email use, being told off for personal fone calls I am NOT making, I now received this email today:

I have worked here for 2.5 years and have taken at least a dozen half day holidays.  I KNOW WHAT @£!"$%$% TIME i'M SUPPOSED TO LEAVE!!!  And WTF is this 12.42pm cr!!!p???  WTF?  She asks what time I'm planning to depart?  What time did she THINK I was planning to depart???  How much more PEDANTIC and PATRONISING CAN YOU GET??

I typed a reply but I fear she would only report it to my boss and then I'd get another kicking on Monday...I really *really* just CANNOT BE @RSED WITH THIS ANY LONGER.  It is now my MISSION IN LIFE to get the ****OUT OF THAT PLACE.

I've worked here for 2.5 years yet you still feel the need to remind me what time I'm leaving - and now we are down to the precise minute of 12.42pm!  This is beyond pedantic.  I know what time I have to leave for a half day.  However, this morning I was at least 4 minutes and 24 seconds late, so I shall sit obediently at my desk until 12.46 and 36 seconds, then I will leave.

Alternatively I shall suffer the pain of holding in a Number Two and missing a toilet break, to make up the time.  Then I shall leave.

Gixer, Is this person your line manager or a colleague who has responsibility for time sheets etc. Do not want to pry but seems ther might be a little history here.

Good to get the rant off your chest though as the response might be what your colleague is trying to get from you for some more devious reasons.

I really cannot believe the 12:42 time, then again working with Local Authorities and education they can be very pedantic at times.

If it is an attempt to bait you it is a very unsophisticated attempt

best keep your head down and work your way out with a good reference.

I would also keep a log of incidents ( bum covering just in case)

I didn't bother replying to her so she rang me at 12.38pm and asked. I said i was going to leave at 12.45 regardless and I asked when the 12.42 rule came in, she said "well that's the official time you're supposed to leave", I said that it was rather pedantic but I was going at 12.45, left it at that. Her email wasm't worthy of a reply - bint! I mean, why does she feel the need to be so anal? I've worked the job for 2 and a half year its not like I'm NEW!

Today I'm very tired and it's that time of the month again, so she really needs to keep away from me! But yes I'm not going to give them any bait and I'm going to keep my head down, keep searching for another job, and be happy in the knowledge that Nicola has no life, no fashion sense, and is also trapped in a job she hates but has not the balls to get off her rather large butt and make a change......
