Shipping and powerbocking questions
« on: July 29, 2008, 01:03:02 AM »
I've just recently discovered powerbocking and ever since I've seen that these things are the real deal, I've wanted a pair for myself. I live in the United States although unfortunately I can't seem to find any companies in the U.S., so I have turned my attention to other countries.

I've figured out the math between the Euro and the U.S. dollar and it would cost me about $220 just to buy a pair for myself. I weigh in at around 100-110 pounds ( 53 kg ) although am 12 years old although I'm growing very fast. I've had quite a few questions and concerns about what I should do for shipping in the U.S., as I have heard that they only ship around the U.K. through pro-jumps. I'm working a bit this summer to pay for the expenses as well as the extra hooves- bottom pads I may need plus anything extra for possible mods. I've got some old skateboarding equipment to cover as any gear I'd need.

Anyway, I think I know enough about powerbocks to get going, I just need to get the stuff  :P

Please help me out with alot of this, thanks

thanks, I'm actually looking at air-trekkers that sell all over the U.S.

I know this site also said to buy about 10 kg (20 pounds) so I'm thinking about buying an adult pair that has the weight size of around 55-65 kg (110-130 Ibs.) or should I go a little high with 130-150 Ibs.(pounds)

Also what recomendations would be made for me to buy... like I said I have knee and elbow pads and I might have some wrist guards. Anything else suggested?   :P

(If you don't know pounds in america are what we use to weigh rather than the european currency of money  ;) )

I'm in northeast ohio here, yea the junior model looks way to small and I wouldn't get much height, I'm going for about an average of 20 pounds heavier than I am to get more hop and to keep them for a longer amount of time.

I've also seen straps and my pads on the forum and I was wondering if these are good for any type of adult bockers or just pro jumps?  :tape:

hopefully if I get bockers higher than my weight I'll get more  :haha: and less  :nana:

I also have some skateboarding wrist guards from krown  ;D

All I might really need in the feature will be a back guard and a helmet which I imagine I have a helmet somewhere around the house

Think I saw a pic of air-trekkers somewhere, they look the same as Pro-jumps, so starps will work on them, I would seriously recomend getting a pair, or tying yourself in with webbing, you will feel so much more secure and safer, meaning you wil push yourself to bigger and better tricks!!

Yes, I've also heard that using webbing with foam padding around your knees really helps out and makes you feel secure and more balanced. Now all I'll have to do will either be to jimmy rig them once i get them or try to find webbing that sells from a powerbocking store. By the way, I've also realized that you clamp these in kind of like a snowboard, which is verrrrry helpful. Anything else guys?

Hi all,

I'm Dave, I've just spent the last 3 hours discovering powerbocking and man, I want in!  I'm 25, 70kg, and I am an Aussie living in Tokyo, Japan.

I've been scouring the net trying to find a way to purchase them over here.  Can't seem to find the japanese word for it (i've tried stilts, powerbocking, bocking (which by itself took me to some japanese porn site, haha), and the only ones I found were powerisers costing something like AU$8000 or something equally ridiculous.

I don't suppose I can get pro-jumps shipped to Tokyo, can I?

Thanks in advance!
- Dave
