Lincoln All Day Indoor Event
« on: August 05, 2008, 12:05:17 PM »
Following the success of the April event I have been able to get the North Kesteven Sports Hall all day again from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm

The last event was enjoyed by all, I would like to think we can do the same or better so please put the date in your diaries.

Please can you reply to the Yellow Belly Section to prevent double posting

Ok all

I am using just this post and have locked the yellowbelly post.

7 Days to go and we will have all the goodies we had last time  including the cubes and high jump.

Also I believe there will be some more matting so you can all practice like mad.

As per last time I will be running a freestyle competition so sharpen up the moves.

Now for the really good news.

Pro-jump have agreed to Sponsor this and 3 other events. This combined with the support of the North Kesteven Council means that I will not have to charge for this event.

Last time we got about 30 bockers turn up. This time it looks like we may be looking at 60.

The venue can cope but I do now need to get a handle on numbers.

Please can you confirm your attendance by pm me

Well you can count me in  :Dark_Knight:

Are you going to make a couple of signs telling the public that we are there ?
There's not many safe places to view us so maybe it would be good idea to piont them to the right places.
Last time we did get some people interested and looking which is what we want, more people joining us. But they did stand in the doorways which wasn't the best thing to do  :-\

Oh and remember where you put your tool box and I'll remember where I put my video camera

OK all

3 days to go.

Please can I advise you of the following

Essential Safety Equipment
Knee Pads
Elbow pad

Desirable
Elbow pads
Helmet

When you arrive you will be given a safety briefing and asked to complete some forms. If you do not complete you will not be allowed to bock.

I will need help with spotting etc, please volunteer to do this for some of your stay.

currently I know 30 + people are coming with a possibility of more. If you are coming and have not yet PMed me or confirmed on this thread please do so so I can get a better idea of numbers.  The venue can deal with 60 so this should not be an issue but I would like to know for planning and media purposes.

Here's a link !
http://www.leisureconnection.co.uk/centre/2/34/north-kesteven-centre.html

I'd also like to say that you enter the centre from the side road not the main road and it does look like a school ? Enter and follow the road way to the right and drive to the far end of the car park. There's a fence at the end and the gyms through that and on the left, my car should be parked near the gate in the fence ( With a big white roof box ).

I think he ment wrist guards in the essential safety equipment and just wrote elbow pads in both lists by mistake

I only know one persons who always wears a helmet  :spudT:

I find a helmet feel odd on stilts and I'm a biker who's done more than 20,000 miles !

Not to say that you shouldn't wear one you never know what may happen ?

With regards to helmets

Most of the area will have some form of padding so helmets will not be needed. However if you wish to try something new on the hard surface there will be safety requirements around spotters and equipment. This is partly in response to some requests by Health & Safety and also better practice following some previous incidents at other meets.

The safety briefing will clarify. So please do not be put off, I just do not want anyone hurt or have to go through legal action.
