so jason are you saying that welding will weaken it???

as u know im a welder and i know alot about all the resions for it etc
and i know that a weld will be stronger than ther parent material
but then this is as long as it is a good weld :dot:

Yes Toddy the weld is stronger if only by being a thicker section but

Aluminium welding is a very fine art and needs to be done very well

The normal failure point is where the weld meets the parent metal

In my past experience I have very seldom had a component machined from solid or extruded section fail without a good reason but have seen welds fail with no obvious reason

I am not saying that welds are weaker and more prone to failure as properly done they are not just that there is less chance of failure in the old design and that I prefer the old bit from an engineering point of view

I must add though the artistic part of me thinks the new part is a much prettier shape

Think I need to clarify this, I got my deal from FL and there is a local seller offering SkyRunners also and he asked me to post online to sell his stuff too, the price stated is for my local market , and I already mentioned before I don't send to patent protected areas in case I violate any patents. I am still free to sell in other countries right? Please don't jump into conclusions that I am an illegal seller. Why are you people so negative? I am just sharing the info and I didn't said anything in this post about selling them. I am just as interested in bocking as you are, so don't be so judgmental. Think I should stop posting anymore since I am not welcome here.  :Cmask:

Hi

If you came on here and said, "I'm a seller in "blah blah" country and this is the new products I'm selling from FL and I thought as they don't seem to have been advertised here I will share them with you" Nobody would have judged you

We just like members to be upfront on here thats all  :Csmile:

I came in here as a newbie to bocking , never intending to sell, its only recently I managed to clinch a deal with FL. Oh well. So much misunderstandings.

Hi all

So what about this model?
I've heard about the tests, but didn't find any official results.

I'm from Russia and I've bought those bocks (CZ0834 Al 70kg) directly from the plant.

A week of bocking, I say they're are great, a little lighter and much stronger then the old ones.
Official dealers in Russia do not sell them and can't answer anything but "those bocks were tested in London". No results, just telling us about the tests month after month.
So could you tell me, what's about those tests?

With best regards, Kot

P.S. Some pics of my bocks:

Tests are still been carried out and some things still need to be rectified before they can be sold to the public.

I wanted to know if there are some new informations about this model?
Would they be sold this year ? Or would they sold never?
