the 7's standard bracket will crack eventually...so get metal or pj plastic...

Its more the fact they wont hold cuffs securely mind. They will probably twist around a bit when you use them, and almost definatly will if you fall..not really safe... so do swap them over. Don't want your cuffs getting the blame for them feeling insecure if it's the bracket
and yeah, trying other peoples cuffs doesnt really work. Because everybody does have them set up differently. That includes bocks too but to get cuffs set up perfectly is pretty tricky. I have had mine a while and it's still not perfect..good but not quite there. Thats why I have been taking spanners to meets recently
anyway..the chances are to anybody else the cuffs and bocks will feel horrible. You might have your bocks set up quite oddly and the chances are the cuffs will take the blame if they dont have them. Or the cuffs will just be wrong and it will put people off.
But..I doubt I would have gotten cuffs had I not tried them. I tried 3 pairs before I got mine and none of them felt good. But I could see that it could work, if I played around with them to suit me and it was an irritating and long process to do but I am almost there now and I wouldnt go back. I can get cuffs so secure that the bocks stay on my legs even if I dont do the foot straps up.(not that you shoudl ever or would sue them like that
) But thats what cuffs are about and pinny, I think yours will be a success. Would love to see some and looking forward to hearing the feedback people give
