Broken calf strap
« on: March 07, 2010, 05:51:35 PM »
Hi all,

I've just been out on one of my first trips on the boots and I've managed to break the calf strap that's just behind the knee bar.  The rivet  that connects the strap to the bar has sheared off.  Has anyone run into this before and is there a fix?

Thanks

Either rivet it back on or cut the straps off and use either a set of Pin's straps or a length of webbing to fix your leg to the kneebar as here

Download the manual and look on page 9 (I think)

You can buy the strapping fron any good dressmaking shop or some hardwear stores (Make sure you get the soft stuff)
Also some £1 stores sell it in various forms (Usualy luggage straps)

Or get yourself some cuffs

Nice one - thanks very much for your help

I think I'll try the cuffs or the strapping
