Either kitchenware stores, or even ask around the family. It's amazing what crap my nan has I'm sure someone has a floral apron kicking about somewhere.

Try Wilkinsons as well dude.

Clive will be able to.tell you somewhere in Staines you can swap to the train.. But check out the train prices, as your van lez charge may be cheaper! Also how many people Are coming.. You could lower the price more by picking up some banned bockers and filling empty seats... P

Locky,

Hanworth looks to be right on the edge of the zone, so maybe you could park up near or in Clive's School and go in from there?

I'm sure he can advise on transport from there.

I will be driving up, so could meet there and take a few of you in at least, depending on how many you are planning to bring.

And to answer Billy's post, I am quite keen on staying overnight and doing something the next day too.

The hotels are quite cheap on the outskirts of London if you dont mind a short drive / or tube back out again.  Heathrow Travelodge £33, Putney Premier Inn £39 I think.
Hmmmmmmm........Why did I buy these again?!?!?!?

Locky the LEZ is a pain in the proverbial mate

Are you sure you bus is not exempt as some are

We are right on the edge of the LEZ but I think we are inside it (Clive will know for sure as his school has a bus

Other than that there are loads of spots to park for free in feltham and there is a main line station into waterloo there

Hello again All,

Looks like I shall now be driving up from the West Country and back the same night.....

so.....if anyone wants picking up on the way through to London, for a small contribution to my petrol costs, just let me know.

Not sure yet if coming via M4 or M3.

If you come via M3, depending on time I will take you up on the lift :) There's 3 of us, so if you have room we'll attribute to fuel accordingly.

Let me know.

Hi David, yeah that should be ok, I can go M3 route, I can fit 3 people in, but it might just mean someone might have stilts on their lap. lol

I was planning to be passing Baisingstoke probably early afternoon.  2 - 3 ish maybe.  What sort of time were you looking to leave?

Don't forget the Congestion charge mate

It runs till fairly late in the day After 7 now I think

You can pay it at a lot of newsagents on the day but don't forget as it is a hefty fine

Think the charge is about £8 a day now

Hi Graham,

In that case I think I'll have to make my own way. I don't finish work until 5:30 so will probably be at London for 8:00.

Will see you all there!

So what's the plan for the night anyway? Just need to clarify a few points as ill be arriving 8pm onwards.

Where are we meeting?
What time will we be at certain places?
Is there anything specific we need to know?

If anyone is going to be staying late and is happy to do so, please can you PM me your number so we can arrange where to meet on the night?

Looking forward to this!

In previous years the route has kinda been London Eye to start with, then onto Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden, with a few short stops inbetween if we find anywhere interesting or get stopped for photos.

Not that we have to do the same again but I would have thought the following to be a rough guide.  Difficult to say I know as its easy to get stuck at a particularly good spot, or get bored and move on quickly:

London Eye 4.00-6.00 ish, for most people to meet.  A few of us will be there earlier and can meet elsewhere or wander up and down the embankment for a bit.

Then onto Trafalgar, maybe somewhere 7.00 - 8.00 ish

Then Covent Garden up until 10.00 or so, when people will start to leave or for the later ones move on somewhere else.

I am by no means attempting to organise a fixed schedule, so please shout if you have any other ideas.

David, sounds like you will probably be getting there when we are moving around so I suspect we will need to text where on the night.
