Cheap/Free underground tickets
« on: August 22, 2007, 10:23:02 PM »
I parked at C0CKFOSTERS and sunday and got a return underground ticket.
I had my PJ's hooked no one arm and my ticket in the other thing is I never used it  :o
Even time I got never the gate some one wound open the large luggage door and let the through them. Not once did my bother with my ticket which at one station was still in my pocket, they just wanted to after a closer look at my PJ's

Could have not bothered witha ticket and just wave my PJ's about.

I got to Marble Arch just gone 8 and got stopped by two of them
" Lets have a look. We've never seen them before ! "
" Well you'll see lots today we'er have a meet in Hyde Park today ! "
And even they did bother with my ticket

So Don't buy a ticket just wave your PJ's at them  ;D

Ha. lol. So funny... The people at my local station keep asking why I'm buying tickets if I can just jump the barriers. I think if I actually did it they wouldn't care if I had a ticket or not, they just saw some-one jump over the barriers!! I also once got told off off having lots of used tickets in the back of my railcard holder, apparently it means I'm using them more than once if I have lots (that doesn't seem logical to me, surely lots means you're buying lots?). Then the dude looking at them said 'wow, you've been all over the place (looking at my tickets from durham, essex, manchester, derby).

But yes, if you go through the swinging door barrier, and just wave or hold anything ticket-looking as you go through with lots of luggage and/or PJs, they just let you through... But don't look like you're in a hurry, they like to stop you then cos they think you're trying to cheat them. lol.

That'd be really funny if it worked, lol. I carried my PJs lplus a really heavy bag and a smaller one on the trains from manchester to shenfield today, peoples can be really horriable sometimes. Like standing in the swinging barrier chatting even though they see you struggling with all your crap and wanting to get through...
