Hi all
I would really appreciate if you would let me know what other Powerbocking related FAQ should be in this section. Go on tell us what we have missed that newbie’s would find helpful!
Everything in the list below is now written up and in the FAQ section apart from the items in bold which are coming soon..
1. What is Powerbocking? General terms and history
2. What weight to go for?
3. What safety gear is needed and why?
4. Why wrap the springs?
5. What are tyre socks and why do I need them?
6. First/second gen hoofs the difference
7. White plastic Tshape (shock absorber) solution
8. Bottoming out - What is it? And should that happen?!
9. I've fallen down and can't get up - Help!
10. How do I strap myself in securely?
Thanks All ;)

Not sure which area this would be,but there should be a mention about tieing yourself into the bock, either with the tape or one of pinheads straps,i had mine nearly 6months before i found that out and to take the sport seriously (well,as serious as a 7ft Tigger can be) you need to be tied in. we all know it,but some Newbs dont.
-
Yeh that is definately a good point, I would recommend Pinheads straps any day as well!
-
thanks How do I strap myself in securely? added to the list!
Anything else just let me know
cheers :)

Hi Naz
Maybe add to the 1st/2nd generation difference
Moulded 2nds and bolt on 2nds the difference

How about where/when to grease/oil and with what !?
-
Yes good one DK
I found that copper grease was no good for the plastic bearings made them wear quicker
-
Hmm what about if your spring or leg joint starts to woble left and right like my mates has :P
and he dosent no how to fix it :P
-
I dont think that would be classed as a FAQ but should be asked in the appropriate thread ;)
Will get on to the maintaining FAQ thanks DK & Jason may need your help on that as your the expect on the 'grease' field :)
-
It might be a trade secret but if you could find out from the factory what the plastic bearings are made of I can find out what is best to lube them with
Some of the self lubricating plastics are ok with silicon or WD40 and some you can use water

This is more of a question than suggestion, but, when should you replace the hoof? I think mine has worn down a fair bit and not sure if I should order new rubber!
Also, can I order the new type legs with just the replaceable hoof pad and swap it for the standard leg?
