lol loved it in all other getting up tutorials i have never seen the actual bail to make the person need to get up
this gave me a free laugh and as allways the tutorial was spot on =)
-
Well done mate you make it look so easy and explain it well
I find that although I can get up it's the trailing leg that I have trouble getting straight It's easy once you go for it but that split second getting the back foot off the groung is a bu**er ;D
Then again I'm old ,unfit and fat so that doesn't help ;)
-
thing i have troble with and prbably most people is actually getting my leg high enough.
also did you no damage you stilts faling over like tht :P
-
It was "staged" extremely well so I was told...
I think he just fell though lol :D
-
either way it still looked like it must of hurt lol
-
Haha it was actually a complete accident, but don't tell anyone! I think that is the only bail I have put on the internet haha! Then I thought I should do an explanation of how to get up!

Do you mean when you are on the floor and putting your strongest leg round in front of you?

Good vid and advice
Being a little older than most and not as flexible I am still not able to get up from the ground. Working on it but it may be a while !!!
-
I cant do it either lol. I feel to short to be able to reach the floor when my leg is infront of me.I will get it eventually I hope. I'm not stupid short but most things I do I am too small or too light for.
-
Don't worry as this will come with time & practice, some ppl do it straightaway without actually thinking about it but others take time.
-
Lucky sods lol.
-
Try filming yourself so you can see what you are doing wrong.
It is hard to give any advice without actually seeing what you are doing!
But definately with practice you will get it!
-
practice makes perfect
i sat down had a look at some peoples videos and went outside on some grass or whatever and just practice, it has taken me about half an hour to get the technique right and now i dont have to worry about asking for someone to hlep me when i fall in public lol ;D
-
I watched some vids and tried until I was cream crackered...but yea... I will keep at it. Maybe film it too.
Thanks
-
I had my first go on bocks today, I didnt fall but I did get down so I could put it to the test. Got up first time, thanks for the vid, helped a lot!
-
i just can't do it...watched your vid & plenty of others...but think my leg's are just too short/weak to do it...spent an hour in the livingroom trying but it seem's to be the back leg that get's stuck as i bring it forward....

You could also try this method. Though if you're short it'll probably be harder.

don't worry...same problem here; I manage to swing my leg in front of me,but when I try to reach the ground with my opposite hand as shown in the movie,I just cannot reach the ground or,if I try really hard to touch the ground,I tend to topple over....maybe I' m not flexible enough???
I suppose I'll be trying the "rocking-up backwards"instead....but until now I've only saw people do it in grass....wondering if that also works on ,for instance,concrete.....
