Somat similar Sat 18 July --but prob more details nearer the time

Bloody tempting, and given the scorching weather could make for an amazing time. Will see if funds allow and how knackered I am after Saturday's bock in London. Are many going?
-
As said on JJs i'll try and make it.. i have to recommend the seafront/hot walls.. the crowds love em. and theres loads of places to jump on and off (i'm just too scared!!) :Cno: :Ccry:
i'll try and make it afternoon probably..
i just purchased some cuffs from PJ and hopefully i'll fit them before sunday and they won't come apart randomly.. :D
-
Ill be interested in comming on the 18th of july!
Wish I could join ya this sunday but Im away in leeds this weekend :Ccry:
-
Well Ive just had a request to bring along 'Matt' the crash mat. So there is flip training on the cards too, wellthats 1 of the things its used for .
As for how many? Well the last few meets have had 6 peeps and a few ground crew. But been different combinations of 6 peeps.
So this time fingers crossed Gemma is no longer 'grounded' :Ctwitcy: And Dave isnt working + plus I gather 2 ( possibly 3 ) new portsmouth peeps were found last week and hopefully will be comming along :Cyes:.
So with luck with just locals we may be edging into double figures. But as so often peeps can fall by the wayside. I myself am ignoring my sisters birthday lunch on Sunday to be in Pompy ( no great hardship I must confess hehe).
Yep, there is certainly an interesting 'historical twist' to bocking in Pompy, you get the choice C14th, C18th or C20th steps to jump on or off.
re Tim's mention of 'crowds', Portsmouth and Southsea are very 'expansive' areas and the crowds dont 'crowd'
-
If you're bringing a crash mat, that definitely swings the pendulum! Would love to practice some flips. Though I did just check train fares and they're really quite pricey. I'll see what can be done...
-
you're all determined to have as many meets while i'm away aren't you :Claugh:
glasto: the price is well worth it
-
DG: Big time! Ha, get yourself back here. Just checked again actually, return for me isn't all that much. What's the exact time and location of said meet? I take it PSS is the nearest station?
-
yep pss is the station. we can have some1 meet you there no probs (may well b me). 11ish start onwards.
DG im sure there will be plenty more meets once you back in the area. Plan to have week day meets thru the hols there as an example, plus hayling island carnival
dave is unfortunatly workin sunday.
But woop may have poached va bocker this evening. 1 of the riser raptors, at uni but from bmth tho he working this sunday too.
-
woo to matt! if i fit my cuffs by sunday i might actually try jumping proper :P
haha
-
im sure we could tinker with um on sunday if need b
-
WICKED. I think I'll be making this. Will confirm in due course...
-
How long are people thinking to stick about for this meet? Just been looking at trains and I need to specify the train to get cheap tickets.
-
last time we were there till oo 5ish and its 20 min walk 2 station this 1 could go a tad l8er. ive put a note on jj forum. but think train for 6 or 7 ill be back asap with which hour 2 go for
-
Q you guys doing anything from 18th thru to like the 22nd? in portsmouth got the week up and might come down again as it was a good laugh last time!
-
I do believe we have another barbi bock and crash matt ( btw it is matt --in honour of swebounce incase there was any confususion amongst peeps) on sat 18th July
I bumped into 1 of the riserRaptors yesterday ( plymouth for uni, bmth to scrounge of them old peeps he doesnt talk to much :o during the summer) )who hopes to make it
So basically Yeah we do have somat planned
OOO un I believe Bexx has expressed an interest in this event too, which is good ---means its 50 -50 which 1 of you gibbo goes for :Claugh:
-
Why am I working EVERY damn Saturday in July :(
-
i do feel 4 u ash, basically we have been waiting 3 years for a good summer. then along comes a heat wave -- and you stuck working :Cno:
But there will b more such meets.
the hope is get enuff peeps together to do similar bmth or poole. Combined with bmth fri nite fireworks is 1 option that i rather like
yep kirk think of a 5 finish so look to train close to 6
-
hi there just a lil report, on the whole a good day, went from 11 till gone 6 , bit too windy for the crash matt, but we still all had a lil go.
Another point in portsmouth favour.. in the space of a ten min walk on southsea common between bock spots we passed 2 beer tents and i mean passed boohoo.
1 possible lil downer. towards the end of the day 1 of our ground crew casually mentioned that 6 of his workmates had been isolated awaiting the results of test ...4 suspected swine flu. oo he went on to say...'if they have it ive got it'. un erm i sat next to him as he gave me a lift 2 my car
So stay tuned the JJ's mayb going into quarentene or just bocking in surgical masks :Cswoon:
