the bolts and nuts on my pro jumps / bock's have started to make strange noises is this normal as i have tried tightening thm but there already fully tightend
is this just that the bolts are starting to wear in or that there braking? ???
-
do u mean like a creeking sound when you walk
-
well there is a creeking but also a feel of like sliping or cracking but ive checked everything and there all fine tight and not worn
-
:o Don't tighten too much !
They should have been OK.
What you maybe hearing is the spring, new springs are a little stiff to start with but soon become more flexable.
Or it could be ...... The white brick fallen out ( A small spacer ) Do a search for WHITE BRICK.
You should also read up about TYRE BOOTS
-
ahh thanks ;D
ill check were about's is the white spacer ???
what are tyre boots ???
-
just a normal bike tyre cut into a couple lengths and held there with a couple of jubilee clips..
the creeking should go by itself in time, mine did
-
ahh thanks ;D

The white spacer should be ( not all have them ??? ) Infront of the spring where the metal bar from the foot plate meet it !
Boots save the rubber on the hoofs and can give better grip !
If you use the " Search " option at the top of the page you'll find lots about both :)
Check MOD topics !?

what would the tyre boot do does it stop the squeeking or is it to replace the white spacer if it is missing ???
p.s i still dont no were this spacer is :P
-
ahh ok thanks good tip and just forget my other post i was making it when u sent tht :P
ill check for that spacer
and dark dont worry about the bolts i didnt tighten them just cheked to see if they were loose

right im really wondering if i wanted to protect my spring could i use a old bike tyre losely put on? so the spring still moved and tape
also the protection pads for wrist and elboes the adult ones what are there names?
-
Inner tubes, Hockey tape, Gaffer tape over the bubble rap.
I left the bubble rap on and then covered it in gaffer tape then put a strip of hazard tape down to make it look good :P
-
good way of prtecting the spring gonna see if i can get some money to get some black gaffa for mine :P
-
Hi, I wrapped my springs in a long continuos strip of mountain bike inner tube I cut along it's length. Check out the stilt gallery. It makes a good thick, flexible layer. GB

Tight up may help just don't over do it !
Say that I have this problem. You may find the black plactic spacers a little bit wore !?
I just put a very thin bit of paper in the gap, worked for me !
But it maybe too badly wore or could even be cracked if that the case they'll have to replace it !

weres the spacer?
and its seems that the spring moves up and down and the leg bit woble left and right but all the bolts are tight?
