Hey,
I've been out and about on my pro jumps a few times now and i'm really confident just walking about etc. Even running!
Theres just a slight problem and i'm not sure if its my technique or if i need to adjust my stilts!
If i've had my stilts on for a few hours and have been running / jogging about, i start to develop bruises / swelling on the backs of my legs, not too far above the back of my knee, from where the top of my spring has been pushed into my legs when i run.
I've tried to alter the way i run slightly but i still get the same problem.
I was just wondering if its my technique i need to alter completely or if i need to adjust my stilts?
Thanks in advanced!

Welcome Shorty
It's never happened to me !?
But it's happen to some Bockers, they've wrote something about it here ( somewhere ) !
I'll have a look and put a link for you !?
:-\ Before I look I think it's because you have short legs and I think people use foam boosters on the foot plate ( Flip-flops ) !?

Cheers dude :)
I'll have to invest in some flip-flops then haha =] .. Before you posted i was actually going to mention i have rather short legs, Oh well!
Lets see how i get on!
Much appreciated! :D
Just another thing, how would be the best way to attach the soles or w/e onto the foot plates? =]
and one more thing lol!
What would be the best thing to put over the spring as padding?
Sorry for all the questions!

Here's two ways of doing it,
Gillybert used double sided tape on form for his method (you could even use flip flops)!

Or you could even do it the way PinHead69 did it with mdf

Thank you :D
The MDF option seems alot more ehh, safer tbh =P
Hopefully wont be too long before i can get it sorted! =)
These bruises make sitting down really painfull haha, Nee mind!
Thanks alot =D

Hey shorty
Scarily Iv always wanted to say tht lol  (Im short myself only 5ft)
I use foam footplates nd they do help Iv neva had bruises but my legs are tht short tht i cudnt actually were them without the footplates. My dad (gillybert) sez 2 use hard foam as it wud be safer.
Good Luck :)

ohh AAlright =]
Where would be the best / cheapest place to buy enough from?

Either option works well, you'll be surprised how sticky the double sided pads are (I got some from clintons http://www.clintoncards.co.uk/product/GWA0028/) I used the foam method using two flipflop bases joined together and then stuck onto the footplate and I've never had them come off.

You could get real cheap foam out of a Curry's skip :o ;D
