Not very impressed with the so called quadski  :-\
It's a very wide quadbike and the turning circle as a jet ski is massive !?
It's more of a bugboat than quadski.
The rode the bike mostly in the open where the it's bulk would not be a problem and did you notice when in the water that on it's turn he nearly flipped it  ( I did )  :o
I'll stick to my XV1100 and 660 jet ski thank you  :Dark_Knight:

Oh, and my magic wheel

First mod I'd do to it, is make wheel caps to stop water filling them up ( less drag ). You'd think they would have do that anyway  :-\

I had ad idea once of fitting steerable ( trolley type ) wheels under a jet-ski and fit a hoovercraft skirt on it  :o
Now that would be a BAT-MOBILE   :Dark_Knight:

Never apologise about a Suzuki I am rebuilding the wifes SJ410 (the old style 4x4) it's on it's second body and about the 3rd engine but all the rest is original (really good running gear) and it's about 2000 miles away from 200,000 miles so apart from the fact that she loves it I think the rebuild is worth doing

So you have a great car there if you look after it and service it well

Micro scooter! I loved mine. But my ankle turned me against it. I was going to seriosly do a cool mod on a couple of mine. I had the right tools and people to do it. I think I will acually.

:hijacked: A little off topic here anybody got or had mates in the army? need some advise.

Kinda.. need a way of getting sweets to my mates lol. I know I shouldnt but they asked. I wanted to fly large planes in camoflage. I gave up though as I dont think I would pass the medical

So ant ideas on how to hide sweets in mail that will be checked? we were thinkin of buttin thin chewing gum between the bubble wrap and envolope of a jiffy bag and hiding things in shampoo bottles

if you do that they will prob be strip searched and checked for bombs.... or just totally demolished due to risk of safety... i reckons..

then a nice letter will be sent to the recipeant. Thanks for the sweets.

People send stuff all the time. Just have to do it well and I need to know which ideas have got busted and the ones that have not yet.

We have got it covered so that it will look like they dont know that we sent it if they get caught.

Have to see how it goes.

Why not a unicycle. Thats what they kinda like. but with seat and you kick instead of pedal. I'm gonna get a unicycle and instead of taking my normal bike on the train and bike to college I will take that...proberly only once though lol
Title: Re: Cool transport
Post by: tundraH on January 17, 2008, 05:16:47 PM
Unicycles aren't very long journey friendly.  You can't go very fast and if you stop pedaling you stop moving.

I used to like skateboarding but I got board and could't afford a longboard for cruising.  Plus, all the signs at the beach near me say "No skateboarding" on the prom, not "No magicwheeling" lol.

Post by: Spud on January 17, 2008, 05:25:23 PM
that would be why i only did it once lol. train station to college is about a mile or so. I would not do the steep uphill bit but once near the castle I would.

Plus, all the signs at the beach near me say "No skateboarding" on the prom, not "No magicwheeling" lol.

Very good plan then

Yeah, although unicylces are good fun and give you such a great sense of achivement once you have learnt to ride them they aren't the best for long journeys.
Lets just say the women would find it a lot more comfortable than the men  ;)

If you do wanna use a unicycle for actual distant get a unicycle with a large wheel diameter. 20-24inches would be a minimum really.

All things are hard when you first start out.  I thought it would be as easy as using a skateboard but it isn't.  I will be using wrist pads from now on though and none baggy trousers.  Mine got caught in the wheel and brought me to the ground with a thump.

My wife is learning to unicycle (this years Christmas present)

It would seem to be an art that takes some time to master.

Had a go and found it really difficult
