Title: does size matter
Post by: freakazoid on November 07, 2006, 11:54:11 PM
Hey ppl new to the site and i was wondering (seeing as i am ordering mine on wed)....shoe size?....does it matter?....
as i am getting a pair of adults (9.44 stone)...and i am worrying tht they wont fit me properly ??? :)

Your shoe size will not matter. Basically two straps come over each foot and can be tightened to your preferred level of comfort. One strap goes over the ankle area and the other nearer your toes but unless you have abnormally tiny feet then it wont be a problem.

I'm trying to get my girlfriend some PJs.

As your post said, "... unless you have abnormally tiny feet...."

Well she is a size 2... (and before you ask, she is over 30 :P )

Will she be able to use the strappings?

If not, is it possible to use snowboard bindings as a replacement for the standard bindings, or something similar?

Another possibility is to use an in-line skate boot and mount it to the PJ chassis (less wheels of course) ? Does anyone think that may work?

Thanks in advance.

KFM

If not, is it possible to use snowboard bindings as a replacement for the standard bindings, or something similar?

One person I know with small feet has added the bases of flipflops to their footplate to bump the height of their feet up, this appears to work fine for her and allows the binding to be pulled down tight from what I have seen.

Another idea is you could add foam pipe insulation under the bindings to pad them out.

There has also been mention of criss-crossing the bindings over to create an X shape over the foot, rather than 2 straight lines like so, =
This should allow the foot to be held down tighter, but I am unsure as to whether it would work for someone with really small feet

Hope this helps ;)

Hi, my problem seems to be the length of my legs.
The top of the spring hits my ankle and that means I can't bend properly my legs or much less, to  try getting up maneuvres.
Is there any way round this problem? It is really bugging me ??? :banghead:

Distracted  ;D
I meant the back of my leg, just opposite my knees. I read the advice you posted in another thread, so you have already helped me. I am glueing (or screwing) a flip flop or a sole of my old boots to the platform for the foot and that way, the problem should go away.

I guessed that was what you meant. I'm glad you are getting it sorted. Welcome. There is a whole topic about raising the foot plate. Maybe worth a read

ummm...

few ideas:

how about creating a new thread entitled "Classicaly Funny Posts" then you quote the funny post and a link to the full thread then people can comment on the post or just add posts they found funny and let it flow

or creating a new thread entitled "Classicaly Funny threads"  and then leaving links to the original funny post thread so serves as a list of favourite funny posts?
