starting anew topic about modifications people have applied to their Pjs or powerisers or whatever you have. i mean mods to help the performance and mods to help the STYLE!!
pictures will also be appreciated!
thanks dudes (dudettes)!
-
me again also if you could please leave a link for me and others of were you got your pimping items that would be great!!
-
Hmmm maybe not quite the right thread but I don't know where to post this. It's not exactly a modification to the stilts, but maybe could be classed as a bit of Pimping to add STYLE to Powerising?
Before the pic - Special thanks to June - my girlfriends mom - top lady!
Apologies to everyones mom, girlfriend, sister etc... for whats to come...
You will need:-
1. Pair of baggy jeans (TKMax)
2. Two Zips (Beatties)
3. Scissors (Kitchen)
4. Someone who can sew (see above)
To produce...

These hide the frame/kneebar and allow the spring to come out of the back of the jeans

good idear
ive been hunting for the big trousers to go over the whole thing but i cant find them so im thinking of getting my hands on a sewing machine and making a pair :)
any hints :)
-
Problem is with finding the big trousers is that they would have to be HUGE to fit over the whole lot, and also they have to allow for the spring flexing to its max thats why I came up with this idea.
No rocket science, just cut the back of the jeans and sew the zip in leaving a gap at the top behind your knee for the spring to come out.
Just make sure that you can undo/do up the zip in the correct way (it does up form the bottom and also comes apart at the bottom) if that makes any sense ;)

I'm sure you can get some "street" style ones to fit over the bag, like mega baggy ones. Might I suggest OXFAM or other charity shops for a pair of inexpensive trousers. That way if you totally muller and chuck them at least you helped a good cause + yr bank balance!

Who has replaced the standard bindings with some snowboard bindings? Can you post here with what make of snowboard bindings you are using please and any other useful info on fitting them.
Thanks

Just got mine for christmas and found this site today... does anyone have any tips for stopping the knee pads hurting and where should the knee bar be positioned on the leg? also i have already taken a few bumps to the springs how can i protect them? thanks, wilf.
-
I'll keep this short and sweet Wilfy :)
Knee bars should be right under your kneecap, fine tune it to what feels best for you. An inch here or an inch there made a big difference to me.
Protect the springs with tape. Hockey tape, electrical tape, duck tape. Do a search for tape and you'll find alsorts of posts on here. Chuck on a few layers for good measure.
The hurting of the knees will stop. It's just you're legs getting used to something rubbing against the skin down there. Try some skating knee pads as this gives a more snug fit around the knee area.
And hey, welcome to the forums and how about posting an intro about yourself in the Introductions topic I started.
