thanks DK
i got my new springs today and found out they are a tiny bit thicker than my previous ones and this has stopped me from connecting the hoof to the rest of the frame because those things on the side wont press in because the thick metal tube wont line up properly
-
I had that problem too !
At first I try pushing together but gave up !
I used a grider on it in the end !?
Thought my pair was just the odd ones !? looks like there's lots out there what did you do !?
-
you could prolly shave down the rubber inside the hoof a bit to make them fit
-
Are they Gen 3's wiimii and DK?
-
i think they're generation 4, version 2
does anyone know whether or not you need the thick metal tube that you put the smaller metal tube into??

Yes you need all that, but you dont need the white plastic shock absorber inserts when you have this set up. If you have them in as well then the spring won't fit. Try removing the white inserts it should then fit.

I thought he meant the black ones ???
-
ive never had the white plastic things
mine were reconditioned ones
im just wondering if you need the thick black rubber bit thats on the right hoof on DK's picture?? would it matter if i shaved them down a few mm??
thanks
-
It will be fine if you shave that down
-
thats good thanks
ill start doing that in a minute
thanks for all the help

Aye, i had the same problem wiimii fitting my 7's springs, shaving it down a tad works well and the springs fit really snugly :)

i finally managed to change my springs, it only took: 20 hours about, oily floor, kitchen knife, sandpaper, cheese grater, kitchen knife, 2 spanners, a bike tool & a pair of pliars
i need to be more prepared next time :-\
