thanks DK

i got my new springs today and found out they are a tiny bit thicker than my previous ones and this has stopped me from connecting the hoof to the rest of the frame because those things on the side wont press in because the thick metal tube wont line up properly

I had that problem too !
At first I try pushing together but gave up !
I used a grider on it in the end !?
Thought my pair was just the odd ones !? looks like there's lots out there what did you do !?

you could prolly shave down the rubber inside the hoof a bit to make them fit

does anyone know whether or not you need the thick metal tube that you put the smaller metal tube into??

Yes you need all that, but you dont need the white plastic shock absorber inserts when you have this set up. If you have them in as well then the spring won't fit. Try removing the white inserts it should then fit.

im just wondering if you need the thick black rubber bit thats on the right hoof on DK's picture?? would it matter if i shaved them down a few mm??

i finally managed to change my springs, it only took: 20 hours about, oily floor, kitchen knife, sandpaper, cheese grater, kitchen knife, 2 spanners, a bike tool & a pair of pliars

i need to be more prepared next time  :-\

everyone in our ict class is behind so most of us have to go back, but they are giving us free lunch so thats good lol

about half of the spring started peeling off so i didnt want to keep using them in case they snapped when i was jumping
