hey ppl i reacently got my pro-jumps out and i have been able to walk and run but i have trouble bouncing on the spot any tips?.....also any for jus standing still :D
-
standing still is almost impossible for anything more than afew seconds. I've read one person say he can for a few mins just bu transferring weight from one foot to the other (without actually lifting or moving it). I just kinda walk on the spot or hold on to someone or something.
I also am having problems getting used to the kangaroo style jump but I think its just the body adjusting to the balance and style. Practice and time....

i find it helps to take a litle step before i start to jump it gives you a bit of a boost.
-
yeah take a step before you jump to compress the springs. so you go higher! :P
-
i only learnt to kangaroo jump the other day.....jumping is really hard
however i have a lot more confidence doing it on short grass than on tarmac

If you manage to stop them hitting the ground when you jump tell me cause you are flying ;D
But if you mean that they are bottoming out
What weight are they ? and what weight are you ?

i dno it is weird i have only had them for 4 days ! and it says on the box that u can jump up to 2 metres ! i am not jumping that high !!
and it says on the box they are the 70kg ones the M70s
-
What weight are you (fully clothed as you will be when bocking don't forget shoes)
Take that weight and add 10kg that is the lowest weigth you should have
I believe the m70's are for 60 to 70kg (sprog correct me if I'm wrong) so if you weigh more than 50kg you need heavier springs

Indeed they are, correct advice too Jason ;)
Yeah, by the sounds of it you certainly need M80's, if not M90's!

if you are new to jumping you wont get the hgighest they can go straight away it takes practise :D im only just getting the hang of jumping high myself hehe ;)
-
i cant jump very high yet either but i just needto go on them alot more to get my technique
-
I was amazed at how much of it is technique. I have a pair of M80s for me and I'm 72 Kgs. I took things slow with these because I knew it would pay off. I had mine for a few weeks before I tried jumping. I decided not to jump until I was comfortable bouncing down the road in a loose relaxed way without having to concentrate on not falling over.
Once I felt totally at home on them I started jumping. At first you will not get very high because I think your body is trying too hard to get used to this new sensation and how to react to it. Bouncing around on one leg I find much easier then on two.
Now with lots of practice I can clear 6 foot high. (With my feet, NOT the bottom of the bocks.)The Kangaroo jump is my favorite. It does take some practice because you have to throw yourself forward just as you land but be ready to correct yourself when you touch down or else you keep going forward. Kangaroos can do it easier because they have the tail to counter balance them.
