thats the part that has come loose and wobbles quit a bit. also looking from top it goes off to the left side quiet a bit compared to other one
-
Have you given all of the bolts a once over, not just them ones?
-
yep all bolts been tightened
-
hmm thats odd...only other thing would be if any spacers have broken. What do you think is up with them?
-
dunno thats why i posted on here. had them 2 yrs n this is first thing thats gone wrong..lol
its just that bearing nothing else
-
Bearings wear out tho dont they..maybe you shoudl order a replacement to see if that helps. Its really hard to tell what up with a pair of bocks thru a picture.. Cant see or feel the movement. just gonna have to hope somebody else has had that problem. I would guess you just need a new bearing..thats what fixed other peoples wobbly bits (not meaning to be rude LOL)

jason will most likley know whats wrong
-
Could be that the bushing has worn, you wont be able to see it properly unless you take it apart to check.
This is a pic Athoul posted ages ago, shows what they look like worn out
-
how much do they cost naz
-
They not very expensive, I'll find out for you, only thing is we don't do the brass ones anymore, they are now plastic. I know Jason can make custom ones but they can be expensive but would be worth it so may be an idea to drop him a pm if yours are worn out.
-
Have you ever taken it apart !? Have you put all the bits back ( ie washers ? ) :Dark_Knight:
-
Found Jasons thread of how he made his custom ones: http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=826.0
-
nope dk never taken them apart once in the 2 yrs i had them. only taken them apart 5 minutes ago and naz is right they worn somethnig chronic...lol not bad for 2 years worth...lol
-
Could you replace the brass ones with plastic ones..I have my old pair and I want to fix them up a bit.
-
Wouldnt the plastic ones break more easily than the brass ones!? Wonder if you can get them in titanium, prolly cost an arm and a leg. jelly x
-
lol or pure gold ones...lol
-
lol they'd look good but gold is a really soft metal, probably bend out of shape in no time :(

They dont break, they wear out. I dont know the answer but I think the plastic ones hold out as good as the brass did..they do scratch tho where they turn

With the scratching, Gillybert's epoxy bonding may help and prolong the life span of the plastic bushings. http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=1271.0
Plastic ones do tend to last too, but maybe not two years if you are using them daily, but it is a part that you have to maintain, regular checks ftw.
-
Could bushings and things like that be sold on website considering that they are the part that will need replacing most often?
-
yep we should, my fault really, it needs to be put on, I'll do it this week

just wondering is there everything u need to bild bocks from scratch on the spare parts page

I think there would be a few fiddly bits missing if you did try..but as naz always say "most parts are available if you call the office" I wonder if it would be cheaper or more expensive to but your own out of parts
