Hello ive been bocking for a week and have now got into jumping and have been trying various tricks, but when tucking the top of the springs smack my thighs and i now have two massive bruise's has anyone thought of a modification to stop this?

Stainless steel buttocks and hamstrings? :P

One of the easiest ways to get around this is buying some cheap flip flops from poundland or wherever you can find them and put them on your footplate.
This will raise your leg up higher and means that your leg won't impact the spring as much.
You could also add a bit of cushioning on the top of the spring, use insulation foam or something similar and tape it on.

As above...

Gillybert used double sided tape on foam for his method (you could even use flip flops)!

Or you could even do it the way PinHead69 did it with mdf

I could really do with a set, i will post a pic of my bruised thighs tomorow.

its quite a common problem, a lot of us also tape some foam on the top of the spring to stop it hurting so much

hmmm thinking about it i dont think the flip flop will work for me as it will just mean i can tuck even more, the spring is the only thing stopping me tucking right up, foam sounds like a good idea but is there a way of fitting it so it doesnt look out of place and rubbish.

not really i just covered mine fully with electrical tape, they look aight i guess but they aint prize winning...

if you do go for some padding on there make sure it covers both the bolts at thde top as this is also a cause for brusing, if you have foam (pretty tough stuff you want, like karate shin pads) from the metal lip going over and ending at the second bolt head you should be good to go.
sorry i forgot how to scale images!!
