We've all hear the expression " As ugly as the back end of a bus " ( No ! I wasn't called it >:( ) !?
The other day I was jogging in the pedestrian precinct and nearlly became the back end of a bus :o
The council have turn our lovely quite safe pedestrian precinct into a bus lane with a bus every 6 minutes racing through >:(
A lot of people are unhappy about this, the bus come through at between 5 and 15 miles an hour ( not 5MPH they say ). They make everyone clear the path with their flashing lights and beepers ( as I said lovely quite safe pedestrian precinct ) which means that if you start just after they go onto the path you can jog along behind it all the way :D
Problem is like I say their on our path and people don't want it so step out to stop it ( I've done it, other story !? ) and the bus then as to stop. I hadn't kep't the speed up so was I was going a little fast to catch it up when someone stopped the bus ! :o
It's not very funny trying to stop that quickly behind a bus ! :o
I nearlly was " the back end of a bus " !!!
Could you just imagine what the insurance would think ?
How fast was you going ? ~~ 15 miles an hour.
Where was you when the bus hit you ? ~~ Behind it ! The bus had stopped and I HIT it at 15mph !? :-[

If you hit the bus as a rear end accident you would be at fault and therefore liable to damage to the bus !!!!!

To be honest, serves you right for runnning behind the bus when you knew it would stop!
But yes, buses in a pedestrian area is silly.

haha, if you did run into the back end of the bus, you could probably sue the company for not making sure the driver warns people running behind him in bocks that he is about to stop :P. or something equally ridiculous lol

You know what you should do to stop them. Make sure everyone has spray paint handy when they walking near this area and whenever a bus goes past, just spray it slightly, that'll p**s them off lol :thumbs:

No time to update now but I moaned about the buses and I sent a letter to the BOSTON STANDARD and it's in this week :Dark_Knight:

hahaha i knew busses were annoying but...
point of a bus if everyone can walk faster than it :P
is boston council STUPID!
i no! well make a new bus lane GOOD IDEA were shall we put it oo right through where everyone walks brilliant well put it in right away! :biggrin:
