Ive got quite good balence, but i was wondering how long it will take me to run on my new pro jumps??
-
I was up and "running" in about 30 mins
-
Yeah, me too, but it was about 2 or 3 days before I was completely comfortable with my balance and whatnot, but yeah. You'll be jogging in under an hour if you think you're up to it.
-
thanks for your advice ;D ;D

day 1...balancing around 20 mins of prac and walking
(but still with wobbles)
day 2...went outside with them and had a lil hop and jog

good balance still havnt mastered jumping tho
day 4.....there is no day for they are ment to be for xmas so i sneaked them out
-
how do you jump i can run n walk fine its just jump in any advice? ???
-
Do you mean jump like a kangaroo on the spot or do you mean jump over something, on to something or jump a distance? Wow so many options.
As always, its best to learn with a wall or something to hold on to and then its the same as hopping on one foot but with both feet hopping together.
I had real trouble learning to do this. I knew what to do but for the longest time I did not have the balance to do it without holding on to something.
Trust me, it comes with practice.

And my Diary is, apologies for the none projumping entries ;D
Day 1 : Walking, and jogging, jumping 3 inches, slight cut to the left knee
Day 2 : Running and jumping 1 foot, and hopping on each leg
Day 3 : Running full pelt, and jumping 3 foot (like a kangaroo), skin missing on both elbows
Day 4 : Went Windsurfing on a 5.6 NP
Day 5 : Fish & Chip lunch on Brighton Pier with the family.
Day 6 : Went Windsurfing on a 5.0 NP, whiplash to the neck
Day 7 : No wind, No energy, fell asleep at the in-laws
Next date in the diary 8th Jan, Trampolining lessons, will take ProJumps and the instructor is getting the crash mats out, so I can attempt a forward sumersault :o
Oh and if you have Broadband and can wait for a 25MB (Better compression required) small movie to load then check the following, should make you laugh :-

25MB for that little thing? Yikes. I liked the fall though, it was some what elegant lol.
Were you invisible when running cos everyone you passed seemed to hardly notice you.
Real good that you can jump 3 ft on day3, thats cool.

Matt,
I'd already ran past them going the other way a few minutes earlier, I guess they were still attempting to figure out what had just happend, and they were in shock. Someone 8 foot tall running straight towards them without the ability to stop quickly, puts the wind up them :o
Yes 25Mb got to work on the compression side of my video editting ???

LMFAO...the unsuspecting public....dont you just love 'em
-
yea.. the general public .. they really dont like you walking behind them, me and my friend did it once walking through town.. everyone we walked behind got scared when they looked around to find ot what the noise was :P .. and make sure all the people around them wernt staring at them ;)
-
i ran into a bloody lampost cos i was distracted by people looking at me grrrrr......so ive started tallying all the falls ive had on the strap of my helmet and collisions on the otherside....im sad i know
-
i know what you mean about counting falls....
since DAY ONE - Kiola has fallen a grand sum total of.. .. *drum role please* 8 times
-- thats in only 3 and a half mounths though.. so im not doing to bad ;) --
-

-
I have had them since the beggining of december and only fallen twice. I stumbled about 3 or 4 times at the meet in London last saturday but managed to stay upright ;D
-
cool... i feel better bout my progress... and i have to say that vid was top the fall was class but watching you getting up was better. he he good job tho.. heres my diary
day 1... bought strapped on up and wandering round my house with
no troubles but did hold the odd wall once or twice. was only 5 min go tho.
day 2... was outside walking no help or wall bouncing bout a foot high and jogging. no falls yet.
20 min go
day 3... snook into work after hours and had a go at jogging and running in the warehouse (open area)
managed about 4-5 foot high jump but fell trying to stop from bouncing, no pain. about 20 mins
day 3... had them on a carpark. got running but then fell trying to stop no pain.
learnt to get up at this point on my own. got some jumping going about 2-3 foot high
and fell damaged wrist and 'lower back' (who am i kidding it was my ass!) bout 30 mins
total falls since owning them 3
total time on them 1hr 15mins
best hight estimated at 5 foot (my shoe not the stilt leg)
time spent in hospital 3hr 20mins
