I work in a box makng factory and at the last YBB gym meet Charlie B asked me if I could make boxes/platforms for us to use both at the gym and meets ! Something safe we could use where there's nothing to bounce on ?
I'm going to make them a bit like a "vaulting horse" with spacers that can be added to raise/lower the platform to any height you wish. I'm also working on a way to inter-lock them to make big platforms. Charlie B gave me a rought idea of the size he was thinking of ( 0.5M high by 0.75M wide by 1.0M long ).
But what sizes would you like a platform to be ?
Once I've made a set of them made I could get a works to make as many as you'd like !

Good effort DK, I think the sizes u stated are about right, it would definately give newbs like me something I'd be able to jump onto without falling off and face planting the floor. I wouldn't really know tho

Theres a thread somewhere showing how Jason did his. If you have a dig round.

Didn't see the pictures last time of Jasons "Vaulting Horse" but I'll take a good look (size, build ) .... and nick the good bits !
But the thing is I'm thinking on the lines on " LEGO ". Where each part can interlock into any other part just like lego does so you can make different shape and sizes !
I just wanted to know what size I should make the basic bricks.

I put a bit of thought into that sort of thing DK before building Dobbin
I settled on the vaulting horse shape as it could fit into itself and go in the back of my car and then the bocks and gear gould go into it to save space and I could still use the back seats (handy size the Disco) and I've made another bit to go on the lower two sections so making two smaller platforms
So measure the size of your Boot/Hatchback thats the biggest and make each one smaller to fit into the last one because unless you are leaving them on site all the time you will have to transport them
And don't forget they have to be heavy enough to stay put when you hit them and strong enough to take constant pounding from some heavy bocking (I put extra supports under the platforms on Dobbin)
Feel free to copy Dobbin (or any part of him) DK the pics are self explanitory
Another idea I had was to use a small to medium trailer to transport the boxes and use the trailer itself a a large platform
Or even a roof rack with a flat sheet on it to act as a high platform when you park the car (bit too high on the Disco :haha:) but most cars are low enough to jump from once you get good (could even extend it to the bonnet with a few brackets and windscreen protection)
I'm working on a folding extention to Dobbin at the moment to get some extra height (for people like tundraH who are just to good at high things ) and to use him as two high platforms

Ps Thanks for finding that Spud I wondered where I'd put it

Jason with luck we can leave parts at the gym but my car can't take a lot and if I sort the sizes right and make them " Flat-pack " I get a lot in. Has for weight I've got an idea to sort that out.
Roof platform mean's taking the warp pod off the roof but that's a idea.
Drive into an areana unpack the car ... and leave it there.
