Title: Where to buy Pro-Jump M70's?
Post by: Kazbahn on January 04, 2009, 08:58:30 PM
Hi,

I've just joined this forum, as i'm looking for a bit of help...

I'm looking to buy some M70 pro-jumps, as i'm just starting out in bocking. But I have one problem. I can't find any websites stocking them in my weight catagory. I know from research (partially on this forum) that i am the right height for them, and am definitely the right weight (what with that 'buy 10kg more than needed' confusion).

So... yeah... i'm just looking for anywhere to buy some M70 pro-jumps, and havnt been able to do so myself yet. If anybody else could help me search, it'd be much appreciated.

Hey,
I am not to sure when projump will have M70s back in but I think it's a little while  :-\

I can't really help much. I am not sure who else sells them. I know thats the best price you will get. All you can really do is either wait or have a good look around. The only thing I will say is don't buy bocks of ebay. You are at risk of buying some poor quality, illegal, well used bocks if are not on your toes. And some sites need caution anyway. Can again be illegal bocks  >:(

Somebody may be able to recommend somewhere that you can can get them from but you are then looking at £200 for standard bocks. So really depends how desperate you are  ;)

Somebody may be able to tell you when they are in stock *cue Naz* or..you could phone/email projump to find out.

Thanks Spud. I think I'll probably wait for them to come back in stock, or wait for Naz(or someone else helpful, you never know) as you say :P

I'm also thinking of phoning Pro-Jump just to see if their website is out-dated or something... you never kno...

Also, thanks for telling me the risks of ebay :P i was thinking of bidding on some on there xD

Oh, I am glad I have talked you out of that one  :D

I don't think the projump site is outdated unfortunately  :( in fact, I just looked and it looks recently updated  :-\ But... I would still phone them up to see if they know when roughly they are back in stock or *coughs* Naz might know LOL.

Cool.. where can i get frames without springs  ???

and how much would you want for the springs? (im assuming you're not likely to just give them away)

or just buy M80s and then get gregs springs and change em over and if you bottom the 70s you then have 80s to move up to?

At the moment we are soldout on 60s, 70s & 80s  :( Should be back in stock about 6-8weeks

I think there is some spare springs left but there is a charge to swap them over, not sure top of my head what it is but if you call in they should give you that option.

Alternative is to buy a bigger size and buy some springs from a member of the forum, that way when its time to move over to the bigger size you will have some already.

Or you could try buying another brand, may be a little bit extra but will get you bocking faster if you dont want to wait around

Thanks for all the help guys. I was just wondering, in the classifieds section there are some 7's for sale (raptors) would anyone think they're worth it? ???

Because, if so, i might think about those... if i can get my parents to let me buy through this site... they seem to have an aversion to 1. anything other than major companies, and 2. me buying from the internet

 >:(

Meh... We'll have to see

He said he was after M70's so the 7's equivalent would be a T-Rex. The price is much higher but then it's like comparing a Fiat with a Ferrari.  :Ctwitcy:

What, between 7's and Skips, or 7's and PJ's?

Lambo??? They have holes in the steering wheel. Isn't that like Skips? After all, you have to bore holes in your shoes in order to attach them to the frame.  :Claugh:

:Cnah: Have to be a hell of a lot better than that..if 7's and PJs are the difference between a fiat and ferrari. Then skips would have to be a private space shuttle  :Ctwitcy:

I'd think skips would be a Bugatti, they're manic - and mega expensive - like skips
Title: Re: Where to buy Pro-Jump M70's?
Post by: Spud on January 23, 2009, 06:49:49 PM
Nope, I dont use skips. I have tried 7's, risers, I have PJs and have tried skips.

The difference between 7's and PJs is tonnes less than the difference between 7's and skips. Bugatti would be a fair thing to say. But only if 7's would have to be a lot worse than a ferrari

There's a pair of skips on eBay at the moment for only £200. Trouble is, the general public don't know what they are so they won't bid on them. But they are bargain for someone who does know their real value.

Perhaps 7's are... a Mazda RX-8? kind of stylish, and better than a Fiat, but not really necessary :D

thats a kinda good way of putting it..the springs are better, they are a bit better. Just not the difference between a fiat and ferarri. Doesnt trip have a Mazda RX-8?

Nope, I cannot agree there. Andrea Bock eliminates any Skyrunners, false Powerskips, and all other unauthorised brands from eBay. They may be up for a day but the next day they will disappear. These on the other hand are the real McCoy. It's the first time I have ever seen a pair of Powerskip Pros on eBay. If you don't believe me, I'm sure you are capable of searching the keyword 'Powerskip' on eBay.co.uk.

Why don't I buy them?

Because I'm not really a fan of the product and the springs are too light for me. Most of all, I do not like the shoe being bolted to the frame. Call me old fashioned but I have become too used to snowboard style straps that allow you to wear practically whatever you want.

Meh I looked and they appeared genuine. Bolting shoes to stilts is actually really nice. I do it with my pegs.

I have to admit that illegal stilts disapear pretty quickly but they are still obtainable and still sold under the wrong brand.

Fiat, ferrari, mazda, lambo and bugatti wow

I may be a bit biased but as I can bottom 7's biggest spring out at will and the same with skip 640's (wouldn't try the next size up as tundraH has proven they break under tall people ) and last time I saw him he was on 1 Skip and 1 PJ spring

working on the basis that I can actually get a pair of PJ springs that don't bottom out I would class the springs thus

7's mazda mx xxx small nippy but I don't fit in it and the suspensions to soft

Skips GT 40 ( look it up) amasingly fast handles briliantly (my favorite car ) and I still can't fit in the bl**dy thing  :Ccry:

PJ's  Bowler (again look it up) bouncy and will tackle any terrain if a little agricultual (my second favorite car) and I can fit in it and the suspension can take it
