Title: Bocking silouttes

Ok ive seen alot of pics of silouttes of bocks (blacked out) and i was wondering how do people make them as i need them to do somthing

If you have a program like Photoshop or Macromedia fireworks, it's fairly easy to make a silhouette-style picture pretty easily. If you want you can send me a couple of pics and I'll do it for you :)
You could also do it on MS paint but it will take longer and probably won't look as good.

Photoshop

Use the polygonal lassoo tool, use it to draw around the bocker to select them, then copy and paste them as a new layer. Cut out all the bits you don't want (holes in the frames, gap between the footplate and hoof, etc), and then right click the layer, choose "blending options" and pick "colour overlay". Set the colour to black, and BAM, you've got yourself a Silhouette

Yup, Thats exactly what I do  ;) I havnt done any photoshop in ages lol so did one. Its kentlee  :biggrin:

I could have been neater with the lassoo but LOL was just seeing if I still had skills  :D

You just need to get the hang of cutting callum, the more you do the easier it gets :)

and helps to have a good picture to start with, the higher res the better etc, the one in my sig looks a little retarded as i had my head down and it was shot from a distance

It looks more like a Spider Monkey swinging from a branch then a Bocker now you mention it!

That and you've obviously feathered your selection as its got a real fuzzy outine

nope that was just photoshop being clever and killing the pixellation

Yeah, it auto feathered it, it'll be along the top when you're using the selection tool. Set it to 0 and you'll get nice solid edges.

think i'll jsut do some new ones, or get someone else to once i've done a few other bits for the website etcs
