Title: Bit's that have fell off, answers on a postcard please
Post by: drew on December 25, 2006, 07:25:25 PM
Evening, on my first day out with my ProJumps, a bit fell off.  I'm guessing this is required and should be put back?  Small white spacers which look like the letter T, they fit in at the bottom of the spring on either side.

I'm not sure what you mean but I've had a look on mine and cannot see anything resembling that.
Any chance of some pics to show what you mean exactly?

Unfortunately my webspace is down at the moment, so I cannot upload the pictures, but they are small white plastic tabs, which fit under the pivot point at the bottom of the spring, and are tucket inside the black rubber which incases the spring at each side.

Will post the photo once my webhosting support is back on line.

they are on the newer model, they act as a shock absorber, they do fall out but you get used to it after a short while, its the same on mine and brucie's,they have all falen out and i cant be botherd putin them back in,its no prob, im recomending a slight change.

Thanks for the replies, put mine back in and they've stayed in.  Although I'm now wearing elbow pads after I took the skin of both of them, after slipping on swan do-dah, while running around a lagoon, slightly leaning into the corner.

What fun this is, I'm sure I'll get some air time of more than a foot eventually  ;)

one of mine fell out and I tried putting it back in but it didnt fit so i put it in place over the spriong portection part and taped it in place and it hasnt fallen out. If you want to replace one then i think myabe a thing peice of rubber/plastic will do and just tape it with some electrical or hockey tape if u have some left over from doing the springs.

Hope this helps. :)

Should I be worried? I dont thin I ever had one of these plastic things. If I did, they both fell out before I even noticed and are long gone?

Am I missing out?

I want a plastic thing too lol :(

white plaggy bit fell out on 1 of mine too. Bunged it back in and used a bit of gaffa tape to hold it in place. Seems to have worked.

yea.. it is needed to plug the gap.. i had the same problem .. and i filled the gap wit hcardboard and coloured tape.. and its a world of difference with and without a gap plugger.. either tape tem back in or if they break.. then use something else like cardboard

ive done kiolas genius idea of putting cardboard in it because even tho it will prob wear away pretty quick its the most cheapest easiest option
 10/10 for the cardboard idea

I've done a mod on mine (fell out after 45 mins use) using a piece of a 5 gallon water drum and after 1 hours use it seems to have cured it I posted it in

yea i saw that.. try to really push something into the gap .. so theres ABSOLUTELY NO gap at all.. literally FORCE something in to stop it moveing! that looks pretty thin.. mabie glue 2 together if theres still give in ther?

It's slightly thicker than the original packer but a bit softer so it won't break up like the others there seems to be very little movement but the rubber pad behind the spring gives a little which I think is a good idea

Like they say if it won't flex it'll snap

I put a couple more pic to show it better

aI managed to get some thicker strips off of a cable drum now that stuff is really tough like lexan you can beat it with a hammer and it just takes it and come back for more
