hey gt my new pj's 2day with some straps but i duno what 2 do with them. can anyone help?
cheers jack
-
If these straps are of a nylon like material and they're with an ADULT set of PJs then these are your KNEE straps. The manaul (if you got one) explains what these are for.
Long story short, you're lashing your knee to the front of the kneebar with them. One strap per knee (duh) and there are various methods - just play around till you find one that holds well + you can remember easily.

yep thats the one cheers m8 much appreciated! : )

Hmmm I didn't get any straps!
Ah well, I'm fine with mine lol! Got velcro things, they're fine!

what does anyone recon about wet tarmac? too dangerous?
jack
-
Yup.
The danger is not that it going to be like and ice but that all wet surfaces behave differently when wet. For example, a tiny little piece of tarmac that might not be flattened right and may be on a 2 degree angle to the rest would normally go un-noticed or absorbed by the rubber feet but in wet conditions it may be enough to throw you off your feet and have a nasty injury.
Go out in the wet at your own risk but you wont see me doing it. An injury is gonna happen sooner or later.
As an alternative to the wet, I'm looking at setting up a local club where once a week we hire a leisure centre hall and as well as being able to have an ideal place for us, I'm hoping in having a few spare pairs so other people can come and have a go (as long as they contribute to the expenses of the hall also).

yea ill stay inside i think. : ( ah well.
yea thats so fun but i live in hampshire :( its stopped raining nw hopefully itll dry out 4 2moz!

good advice mat its not good to go out in the rain, we had a film shoot in the rain and we were faling all over the place, never again, we have 3 indoor training venues, one is a larg gym with tramps in etc we pay for that but between us its not much, and we always have a few pair of pjs so people can come and hav a go, eg tomoro Sunday 2,00 pm plus Monday 7.00 pm all are welcome.
ps this time of year watch out for black ice.

Hmmm, I've only actually been out on them in the dry about once or twice I think. So I mean I'm pretty used to the slipperyness of wet tarmac. However, it's much more risky and difficult to attempt anything a bit crazy when it's wet, so it really isn't worth the risk to you or your PJs. I've been a bit stupid going out in the wet, however my road surface where I practice lets the water drain off really easily, so it's not all that bad.
Just do whatever you're comfortable with, as long as you know you're safe. I mean, if it's pouring with rain, the chances are you won't want to go out anyway! If it seems blatent that you're going to slip and fall, just don't even try it! Especially when you're still getting the feel for them.

i went out for first time on my pj's earlier and i think it went well. its awsome fun and i can stride around quite fast and jump a few foot off the floor on the spot. i slipped over once on a wet tile... no damage done though. any tips on going higher / faster apart from just practising?
jack ;D
-
Not really...it will come good soon enough.
Only real thing I can suggest is when you're trying to jump higher etc to have a wall or something nearby which you can hold on to for support.
Trying to do new tricks before you're capable is only going to lead to a nasty fall and injure yourself.
-
yeah i not gona get ahead of myself. ill give that a try probably help with confindence. cant wait to get out there and keep practising!
yey my thread got some yellow exclamation marks!

hey everyone,
i got some vids that u might wana see of my second time on pj's so all you experienced people can tell me how i should improve!
what should i do with them?
jack ;D :D

Do you have a youtube.com account?
If not I suggest you get one if only for the ease of it.
Youtube allows you to share your videos with anyone and it wont matter what type of computer or internet connection speed they have. I think almost everyone on here uses youtube and those that dont tend to use google videos.

anyone who wants a look feel free (im not very good yet and thats my second time out on them, its also wet!)
