Right, i'm in a band, and we've decided that by tomorrow, we'll all have 5 ideas for songs, bass riffs, guitar chord progressions, lyrics, hook-lines or anything, and to be honest, i seem to have creative block at the moment :P
Does anyone have any ideas?

you're trying to force musical inspiration, won't work, jsut relax and listen to something sortof in the style you're thinking of, then jot a few things down
*runs off to avoid work and jot down a bassline or something :D*
-
double post-deal with it :P
well here's a bassline(needs transposing probably), and a simple 8 bar chord progression

so shove them together, with a simple blues type scale melody between lines of song and you're done
lyrics:
I tried learning to bock,
But it was too hard,
I kept falling over,
And couldn't get back up again
But i didn't give in,
No sir i di'nt,
I kept working at it,
and now i can (insert gabber drum break here)
D-D-D-DDD-DO A BACKFLIP
(continue in a techno 'do a backflip remix'-standard d'n'b drum loop, break every 16 bars, synth track over the top etc etc)
...that enough inspiration? XD

haha darf :P that's epic xD

can't be epic, only took me 5 seconds to think of, or maybe that's the best way to have epic inspiration, to not think about it and just start doing it, problem i have is i start writing stuff/mixing samples in a tracker, then think it sounds crap and delete it all XD

yeah, i do that, i write a song, look at it the next day and go 'that sucks, **** the whole idea' *give up on writing songs for ages*

:D my system these days seems to be if i manage to make it past the 12th page of pattern in the tracker (about 48 bars of music, usually somewhere inbetween 100-200) then i'll dump it somewhere online and come back to it later, nothing's ever been finished though, not since AS music teh when i had to finish stuff
