how do you mean exactly? I sometime bang my springs together when im running but thats due to a twist in my legs while running.
Is that whay you mean or something else?

i had that when i first started it may sound daft but it was all down to my knee pads were pushing my leg backwards so it was rubbing on the top of the spring gard
it was a lovely bruise it was huge and all the colours of the rainbow
i hope this helps shaun or have i got the wrong end of the stick ;)

the bruise is at the top of my leg and it is caused by the top of the spring hitting the back of me

one idea would be to do what my friend does as a quick fix until you can find something better or buy a swimming noodle.
1st get a tea towel and roll it into a saussage shape, get some tape and tape the towel in the saussage shape.
2nd wrap the towel round the backs of your knees and hold there with more tape.
3rd once in place these will custion the back and cause them less stress when bocking. strap up but make sure they wrap over them els its a wasyed effort
hope this helps................. happy bocking ;D

do u wear knee pads that go under the knee supports? because they might push your leg against the top of the spring like you said. cant think what u could do bout it but hope i helped.
jack :P

Dunno if this is quite what you mean, but I had a similar problem. I just cut a foam mat thing in half and wrapped each bit around each leg to cushion it as shown in pic.
Hope this helps...

i know what he meens because i did it and only noticed it a few days later and had a beauty of a bruise about an inch up from the back on my knee its the peice of metal at the end of the spring.
it causes one hell of a bruise to appear but it doesn't hurt really unless u hit it again .

Frumpet in that pic it looks as if your knee bar is too low, we put a sqr piece of thick foam at the back of our knee between the strap, this will help pack you out and stop the strap diging in to u, hope you dont mind me comenting on that, chears.
