After Taping and protection!
Tried them on.. seems good.. Able to walk now.. wonder when I can start running lol! The adjustable knee bracket makes it easy to slide the knee cuffs to position.. only gripe is that with this new design the bar holding the cuffs tends to swing around when the bracket is loosen.. and I gotta space them up evenly or i tend to walk awkwardly.. And I dunno should I leave some space between the cuff bars or adjust it tightly to clamp on my knees?

According to a post you made a while back you were selling these? Surely you should be testing them before you start selling them?
-
:Ceek:what was i thinking, musta been having one of "them" moments

Yeah i guess, I could provide some feedback on these should you decide to sell em here too :) I just a home based "seller" trying to earn some extra pocket money selling bocks, not a major retailer.
So far the springs seems stronger and more responsive.. will update more if you like me to :)

Not to keen on the look of that weld on the footplate bracket is it just the pic or is it really rough
I supose all the weight is downwards with a small amount of shear but would give more confidence if it was a bit neater
The rest looks good though

This bit Jason? I was going to say the same thing, it loks bloody dogey!
-
Yep thats it Sprog
I must admit I used to buy honda motorbikes and the welding on them looked awful but I never had one break
But it does look like an untidy bit of welding and it is on display so obvious and would probably make a welder think twice before buying but only time will tell and they will probably be OK
And we are made of sterner stuff and accept stilts breaking beneath us as extra fun :Claugh:

well i can point 2 faults in that welding from the picures with out looking too closely
so i dont think i will get this styal bock
-
Not worth discounting them yet
Lets see if they break first

Since Toddy is a welder though.. he should be able to spot a dodgy weld?
-
yea and im looking at doing a welding inspectors course this year
-
hey toddy welding inspectors are few and far between good job to get into good luck mate,,see you sunday :Cyes:
-
ment to say in last post the bocks look good apart from whats been notice so sprog give us a up date as to how they respond and if they stand up to lots of bocking
-

a one eyed, lobotomized fanboy could tell ya thats not the best weld, lol
-
well there is a difference from a doggy weld or a cr*p weld
as a doggy weld looks poor, where as a cr*p weld has faults in it.
as i can see faults in it from the photo's it does show something,
as well since it is alu(or i would surgest) there is even more faults that there can be and prob is.
ive just been told thoes ones are steel, so unless a monkey welded that , some one sneesed
-
there you go todday, found you a new place in bocking, you can re-weld all the new stilts :P
-
Talking about the weld reminds me of that scene in " The Full Monty " wheb vtheir watch " Flash Dance " and she's welding.
All they talk about is her ##### welding :Claugh:

i would do, but then why pay me £10-15ph when they can pay some one in china £10 per day/week
-
Oooo didn't know about the welding , thanks for the info! I keep a lookout and post updates on that too in future :)
-
as well some one told me they are making these out of iron!
is this true or is it steel?
-
i think that was cleared on pp, iron turned to steel turned to bocks i think was the phrase
