Title: good idea?
Post by: bockster on April 26, 2009, 03:41:41 PM
hi guys, iv got an offer from my freinds brother for me to buy his stilts for 100 pounds... they have been used 1nce, perfect nick, only question is that is 28 kg's too much, as his springs are m70's and i should get m60's... please say if it would still be ok with 28kg extra, also do you think it would be possible to send practically brand new (no scratches whatsoever) springs, and pay 15 quid for m60 springs..., or im also wondering if that is too much, then i could maybe send the springs to projump, and ask them to replace them for m60's, as they dont have 1 scratch! by the way i can jump like half a meter higher than all of my freinds on a trampoline minimum, if that helps..
 please say opinion..

28kgs is too high for you as a beginner, it would be very difficult for you to get any height on them. If you need M60's, I am assuming you are around the 50kg mark?

also do you think it would be possible to send practically brand new (no scratches whatsoever) springs, and pay 15 quid for m60 springs..., or im also wondering if that is too much, then i could maybe send the springs to projump, and ask them to replace them for m60's, as they dont have 1 scratch!
NO. They have been used, so ProJump cannot replace them, as if they did, they would then be left with a used pair of springs (Which they don't sell). By doing that, they would be losing money, as it would be dishonest of them to sell them on another pair of stilts. If they did that, everyone would be sending their springs back for higher or lower weight range ones, which would leave ProJump extremely out of pocket.

i can jump like half a meter higher than all of my freinds on a trampoline minimum, if that helps..
Doesn't help at all really, although it seems like a good idea, trampolines don't help massively. Trampolines are ok for learning flips on before transferring them to bocks, but actually on bocks it's a lot different.

M60's definately at that weight, you wouldn't even be able to shift M70's without a LOT of practice

That's what I said, he would need a lot of practice on them.

In other news, does anyone know how the hell to turn ↓ this ↓ off without uninstalling foxytunes? I can't find an option for it :-\

I wouldnt pay £100 for second hand stilts. Sure they might have genuinely been only used once but you now have no warranty on them.

WTF are you on about aidan? I don't have winamp, it I have iTunes.
Foxytunes is an app for firefox that lets you use iTunes/WMP/VLC/etc through it, all the controls are on the firefox screen. Just I can't find one to turn off the damn signature thing. I might just uninstall it :(

oh i only glanced at the foxy's site and saw the IE version the FF version and summat about winamp :S

tbh it looks dogey :P does it add that message on automaticly or everypost or is it coded in ur actual sig?
Title: Re: good idea?
Post by: sprog on April 26, 2009, 09:33:45 PM
Auto-Adds it. The old version of foxytunes you could disable it, and it also showed up in the "post reply" box, so you could delete it. Sadly, the new version does neither of those, it just adds it in whilst FF is doing the new post. Which is a damn clever piece of code, if slightly annoying >:(
Actually, I just found the option for signatures... and apparently it's disabled. WTF. Annoyed with it now so uninstalling.
