Is astro turf good to practice on?

Highly unlikely, that's gonna hurt if you fall on it.

well i gotta think , cant be much diff to alot of surfaces to bounce on, so would b ok. Now is it more abrasive , if 1 were to fall , than say tarmac, concrete, grass, clay etc  erm well i dunno.

i suspect u have a specific reason for asking and that may have a baring on the answer.

Now if the astro turf is flood lit with under floor heating protected from the wind and with a nearby bar with topless waitress service ( Ok forget the last bit)  then yes astrotruf is would b fab.

Wot is required is solid nonslip resistance to our bounces, now if we do fall un stumble, then the abrasive qualities of the floor matter . But if wearing pads that should be 'doable' in most surcumstances

Depends what kind of Astro turf, i reckon a dry water-based astro (it makes sense honest) would give rather good grip. But anyway, long turfed astros ie what they use for Football/rugby wouldn't give that good grip. But would give more of a cushioned fall. Hockey/general purpose astros would give less cushioning, unless they had a lot of shock absorbers underneath like our local one (lovely to bounce on). However as the "turf" is a lot shorter they would give a lot better grip.

In conclusion: maybe :D
