£309.95 for S-Rex Model
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Lynch, I can see Naz removing this topic ASAP, so all I'm gonna say is...
Go look on PP. All the answers are there.
I'm not going to discuss the price raises and when they are coming into effect, out of respect for Naz and ProJump.

lolage @sprog
bless him.

I dont mind discussions but I dont like links to the competition ;)
With the price rise personally I think at the moment prices have gone up everywhere in terms of manufacturing costs, however 7's do have a decent mark up so imo a wrong move for them esp bad for the UK sellers due to the low pound.

sorry naz i am a pro-jump all the way but just wanted to know what was going on and i was not on the pp froum but i am now

As Naz is cool with it, here's my rant:

That's an increase of £50, which now means 7Leagues are costing over DOUBLE the price of ProJumps. Are they worth double the cost of ProJump? Having been on 7's for 2 years, and used PJs multiple times, I can safely say NO, they're not. An extra £100 maybe, but not double. That's just ridiculous.
I've got the datasheets on costs for me to import containers of PJs and 7s as a seller, and of course everyone knows the final sales prices - If you don't, £135 for PJs, £240-260 for 7s depending on model. I spose the easiest way to put it without releasing too much info is that the markup on 7Leagues is INSANE compared to ProJumps. And now I think that markup may have increased further, just from looking at it logically...
I would understand a universal price-jump in everything, but 7Leagues are not increasing the prices on spare parts, springs, etc. Which leads me to believe that possibly there has been little to no increase in manufacturing costs (after all, all the parts are made in China and Africa, then assembled in Austria), and therefore little/no increase in costs to FutureTech. So either they've also bumped their import prices so they're making more money and the profit margin is the same, OR they haven't bumped and the profit margin has increased.
Also, the £300 price is for BASIC Raptors. That's with the kneebars, not calf cuffs. Cuffs (before the price switch) moved prices from £250 to £290, so assuming they stay the same, if you want cuffs you're gonna need to spend £340. For that you can buy a basic pair of ProJumps and a pair of PoweriSer 2007s with calf cuffs and EVO-2 bindings on them.
I'm waiting on more info from Manni, Richard or even one of the 7's team in Germany (I wrote them a very angry email) before I continue to rant, but currently on these grounds, they've lost one loyal customer this year. I am incredibly p**sed off by the fact we have clearly stuck by 7s for the past few years, many of us actively supporting the brand, and they've pretty much turned round and slapped us in the face. Price Switchover is Late June/Early July.
No reason there cant be a 'MASSIVE SUMMER SALE---PRICES SLASHED' erm mm 'bout 28 days after new prices?
There is very much a reason there can't be. 7's sellers are bound by contract to sell at a specified price, and also sell no other brands of jumping stilts.

erm 7's r in austria u were wonderful on everything else  ( i suspect the austrians being called 'germans' is like refering to the 'english' but including the scots welsh un irish), ( tho i could un debate much of wot u written-- pref over a bt of wine each)
-
No, sprog was right. All the parts are made in china or wherever and are only assembled in austria.
-
yes but somewhere he says somat like 7s in germany hey im only tryin to liten things :Cswoon:
-
Yeah, that was a mistake on my part as I was typing fast. Austria, Germany... they speak the same language so :P
-
erm try callin a welshy english or an ozzie a yank
i always try un write of the 'german speakin areas' then no 1 can quibble
-
nobody was quibbling. Just you.

I don't know how this will work with Bocks but I buy a lot of tools for myself and work so I tend to keep up with prices
Most of the Cheap tools are made in China now (Cheap not bad quality ) and some of the Chineese stuff has gone up but not by much
Now all European tools have become much more expensive due to the £/Euro exchange rate so I would expect Skips/7's to rocket in price but I don't know what the £/Yen exchange rate is like at the moment
But I would expect the new models to be more expensive as the R&D costs have to be covered and all the new tooling costs
And before anyone says "But they are all made in china" it won't make much of a difference as the parts are a small part of the cost
Things like transport and staff costs and where they are finally assembled and packed up the costs
Also remember PJ's go from china to here Skips/7's go via Europe which adds transport and staff costs
Having said all that the Yen could be going through the roof at the moment :Claugh: but don't worry as the way China is going we will all be part of their economic comunity soon :Claugh: think how cheap PJ's will be then :Cwink:
