i've been really working on getting better on my stilts.. and i was wondering how high you should be able to jump before you try to do a front flip..
and what kind of flip is the easiesst?? front or back??
-
you need a min of ~4 ft of air to land flips
fronts are way less scary to try, but backs are easier to land once you're up side down.
-
When you say ~4ft do you mean with a tuck or when keeping your legs straight.
Ive managed about 3ft without tucking so I would probably be 4ft with a tuck.
-
idk that's why i put the ~, it means approximately. its different for everybody. You've just got to get a mat and try it.
-
Its just that it would be usefull to know before i find myself a mat.
But then again you don't know until you've tried
When some more of the people I bock with are at a similar level I'll look for a gym.
-
you could just hire a gym with them and then they can get better with their tricks etc :)
-
or come along to a gym meet held by another bocking group?
if you come along there will probably be someone who knows how to flip and will be willing o help you
Good Luck lol :Cwink:

yes to do a flip you do, if you want to do a forward roll on top of an antigravity field like sprog, you can work with less.
