Title: Temp Solution any1?
Post by: Benny B aka Hero MC on June 09, 2009, 03:22:16 PM
Hey guys! been a couple months since i been on here! been very bizy STILL bein unemployed lol!

anyway down to bizness!

i recently tried to sell my stilts, coz i dont have the money to repair them. I have (i fink!) a 2nd gen of flyjumpers, prob is that the rubber foot (that is moulded to the frame) has now worn away so much that i can no longer jump on them for fear of warping the frame.

Has any1 got any ideas for a temp cover up or something i could just bolt to the feet or something as i f**kin dyin 2 get bak on them!!!!!!

im not askin for any freebies or anything, jus ideas loooool

cheers Benny

not a tyre sock coz it provides no protection for the frame

PJ replacement feet+hoofies work well...giving mine a nice wearing in today  (talk to naz though, stock problems on the straight type of feet, can't remember what yours would need)

or 7s hoofs would work...but also need to check bracket sizes etc

I to have the rubber bonded to the frame type and the fcuked after just hours of using them. I been using boots on them for the last 18 months, an out lay cost of only £12 ( £6 a set each pair used twice ).
If the rubber is too bad, cut a piece off a car tire and glue/nail it on first. You may need to shape it if the botton of the hoof is flatterned out the easiest way to do this is cut the rubber in thin layers and build it up has I have with my poor old hoofs !

DK, surely you have enough spairs just to put a new set of hoofs on to save you all that hassle?

I used to use tiresocks but they did my head in after I started pushing myself a bit because they would always slip/break if I landed badly. Still, if you do it right then I guess they work.

I don't really know what to suggest. So what anybody else says really. Don't think there is a magical fix.

Benny

If we can cut the rubber of we can cover it with tyre

Come along to the next meet and I'll lend you a set of bocks for the meet and take your hoofs with me and see what I can do
