To bock anywhere that you can not see where your hoof is landing on is dangerous. Uneven or soft ground could easily cause you to lose balance and fall over. Snow is even worse has the snow could also easily cover ice, this ice could be on deep water which you could break with your hoof ! The snow maybe soft but when compressed under your hoof it starts to melt ( like when you squeeze a snow ball ) and so you could find your on hoof makes the ice you could slip on !  Snow also softens objest on the ground and any change in ground level, you could be on a plateform one second then 4 foot down a drop the next, snow drifts remember !  :CGEEK:

I for one would never tell anyone it's fun to bock on   :Cno:

With a little bit of using your eyes, and being sure that you arent walking on any lakes or rivers  :Cnah:, there is no problem whatsoever in bocking in snow. But, as (i think it was) spud said, you just need to make sure you're on grass , and that the snow's not compacted into ice. It's as simple as that.

I still think it's too cold  and could be too slippy to Bock  :Cswoon:  But I've just found this topic of people in the snow and there is even someone dress up like Father Christmas   :Ctwitcy: Just don't think it's a very good idea to   :CGEEK:

too cold for bocking? Skinny dipping maybe but deffo not bocking. Just wrap up warm or get jumping! Fresh snow is not slippy at all and it's uncommon to find pools of ice on grass ;) Try it, with a mate for support if you are worried. Just your garden. That way you will know if there are any 4ft pot holes or ponds!

Don't be such a monosport!
Just for once, never mind the bocking, get the skis, boards, sledges or bit bags out an hit the hills.  :Cyes:
We get so little snow lets use it for what its ment for. Charging down a mountain at break neck speed :Claugh:
You can't do that when the weather warms up but you can bock your bits off! :Cwink:

Just got back from sledging the bomb craters actually. We don't exactly have hills... so bocking is perfectly acceptable :P

Small village, east side of norfolk :D  there are huge craters dotted all
over the place. Not in the village but the surrounding area. I assume from the war. They sucked for sledging. Best we could find was a steep 3m slope :D

I have some -50-100m long slopes around here, which is weird considering I live in London, hurray for Richmond hill.

You'd have to go to the dry ski slope to get anything like that here!

Agree! Snow provides plenty of other opportunities to get the same airtime as bocks.

Best bit about that is the high-res shows everywhere with snow. Except Dorset. Hooray for being in the only damn county without snow.
