Following the Leeds meet, Wed 3 Feb I have a few short clips of vid off a small pocket camera which I want to edit into on, removing the rough bit! LOL
The files are .MOV files :Cyes:
Now my windows Movie Maker can't deal with them :Cno:
So I need to convert them to something it can. :Csmile:
Any of you folks know of a free download that will do the job
Please :Cnotworthy:

http://www.convertmovtoavi.com/
Is fairly good.
OR
http://rivavx.com/?encoder
will convert from .MOV to .WMV/.MPEG/.MPG/.AVI if you change the extension on the end, providing you have the right codecs (which you should)

You are a star, :Cnotworthy:
I'll give them a go later, thank you. :Cwink:

Ooh, let me know which one works! My camera also produces MOV files... which no-one uses!
I downloaded Prism last time I needed to make a vid, but it turned out to just be a free-trial.
...Despite the description stating otherwise. That was a bit annoying.
So let me know which one of those works for you. =) Thanks.

Found Riva worked ok, was able to change them into .mpeg then edit them with Micro Movie Maker. All I need to do now is to figer out how to upload it so I can post it up here! :Cconfused:
