someone who has tried to spray paint their stilts? I have started to color my Stilt, the results look good so far, black metallic paint, but it is clear there'll be many scratches in the paint when I go out and run and fall, and all that face, scratches against stilts :Cradar:

Aluminium has a tendency to loose paint quite quickly as it builds up a surface patiner very quick which will make the paint not adhere properly
Good news is that there is a primer specialy made for it (self etching primer for aluminium) so if you give them a coat of that first your paint will stick a lot better
Only know this as you have to use it to spray Landrovers as the body panels are Birmabrite a type of aluminium
Most good car paint shops will have it in an aerosol can

i had to test without primer :), it look more good in the real then on picture, i hope it will be on for a while

you could also anodise them black. maybe not so easy to do it yourself but i don't think it would be very expensive either.

I get mad at the rings / gaskets that will sit between the screw and the outside bushing, but the same thing, got together one of the stilts now and it works perfectly, tyflon fat in the bushes so they will slide easily a few weeks :Becky:

Worth being carefull about anodising as I'm not to sure the effect it would have on the aluminium
I know that not much structural ally is anodised so it may have an adverse effect so would be a good idea to ask someone who would know

They do anodise climbing karibeaners but it is very well worth checking with an expert! besides it's a lot cheeper to paint them!!! :Cyes:

Never thought of that Snud I've seen the anodised ones too lovely colours
But then they are made under very controled conditions (at least I hope they are :Claugh:)
I don't know what effect anodising stilts would have and I suppose that the worst that could happen is they could start fracturing and dump you on the ground
So who's gonna be the Crash test Dummy then :Claugh:
