I have been reading posts on here for quite a while, and have also been checking out all the videos I can find on youtube... Finally decided I should get myself a pair of pro-jumps. I was all set to place the order and fill in all my card details when I realized it says they will only send to the billing address and not elsewhere... seeing as I have to work during the day like most people I was rather hoping I could get them delivered to my parents place as they are retired or to where I work... do pro-jump make any exceptions?
-
or does anyone know what shipping method they use? Royal mail? DHL? some other company? :D
-
THERE IS ALWAYS THE EVENTIAL OPTION OF COLLECTING FROM THE LOCAL DEPOT ooops soz 4 shouting
-
Mine where Shipped by a company called DPD but im not sure what they where shipped by before DPD got them.
best person to ask is Naz ( webmaster ) or as Q said there is always collecting from the depot if they allow that? :S
and Q your excused for shouting - we know you didn't mean it :)
-
think kevin the cat walked on keyboard ...well im blaming him. I picked up a 'phone from DPD last week as i wasnt in as it happens. They do a repeat attempt next day. After that u can request a different delivery addy , but the send has to agree, dunno if PJ do that.
The depot was about 5-6 miles from me. On edge of bournemouth rather than central. Now if used Royal Mail, no probs, not only is the delivery office only a 13 min walk away but i also work there :Claugh:
-
You can also do a bank transfer which allows you to send to someone elses address, that's what I did. PM/email Naz, she'll tell you how to do it :}
-
ooo un 'naz' is also 'webmaster' round here :Csmile:
-
I just went ahead and bought them and will likely collect from depot, I can't wait any longer :Claugh:
-
cool un where in the world ru there may b others near u
-
You do realise, if you phone them up and say you want the shipping address to be different from the billing address you can do it like that, If I remember correctly the number is...
01772 792600
Hope this helps

I also considered that I would likely not get to pick up the parcel from my parents place till next weekend as they live 25 miles away and the nearest depots for most couriers are closer and more accessible during a break from work :Claugh:
-
Mine were shipped by DPD and my nearest depot was 30 miles away.
Might be worth a quick google to find the nearest depot.

-
2 nearest depots, one being within 16 miles of where I live and straight forward, the other is nice twisty route so straping the box to my Nexus will be fine :D
I know the box is big so I won't be able to enjoy the twisties too much but still :Ctwitcy:
-
I managed to get mine home in the box on a 125 traily on 2 occasions so you should be fine just take loads of bungees
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
-
I'm sure it'll be fine on the back of this as it has a bit more of a substantial rear end than a traily :Cyes:

LOL @ scooters
-
Why laugh?
-
Yep bit more room on the back than on mine :Claugh: although I have a custom rack on the back and a backbox which makes it easier
I havn't taken any pics of mine yet and couldn't be a**ed to get it out of the garage in the dark to take one :Claugh:
So heres the press shot of it
Yo gotta admit it's S*xy and great through London rush hour
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
-
Bet you have no probs getin up and down the steps to the tube stations on that Jas! :Claugh:
-
That is nice looking :Cwink:
Didn't realize you could get back boxes for them... can't imagine what it would look like.
-
My bike is so much better Jason :P
they don't call me more money than sense for nothing :D
DC
-
i prefer jason's actually
sports bikes (or even lookalike 125s) are just kinda boring, my brother doesnt understand how i can say this and looks at me blankly when i bluntly insult his shiny triumph
-
lol, It is a 125, not meant to look like a sports bike, Very powerful 4 stroke engine.... really does not sounds like a 125 :D Also very reliable becasue it is a Honda and is a 10 plate :P only £2.5k :D I love how cheap things are today :P

-
I've always liked the look of the CBR but I just prefer auto transmission, I love my Nexus 500 to bits :D
-
Nexus is nice but CBR has more to it, some reason I feel a lot more comfortable on it :P

Got some bad news for you DC
My WR125R is based on the Yamaha WR enduro series
It is so close to 15bhp that it hurts and it is the only 4stroke that I know of that can be de-restricted (Mine isn't as that would be illegal :Claugh: )
It has the same engine as the R1 and you know what that is like
I really can't believe it is as quick as it is (not fast only 70) but it gets to 40 so quick it is ideal through London traffic
And I've already stood it on it's nose twice by accident just stopping
It's so much fun through rush hour best discription is it's like a Wasp on Steroids :Claugh:
Also at 6ft 4" and 17 stone I would look a bit silly on one like yours
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
-
jason, like when have u been bothered about looking silly?! :Claugh: I had my eye on a bike on ebay, local in southampton , got a bonus comming at end of week....un dang if it didnt get withdrawn yesterday grrrr
mind it was a push bike...i want a cruiser 4 the summer
ooo un how driving lessons going DC?
-
Mwhahaha Jason mine is also 4stroke and easily derestricted :P if you know the correct peeps and go to a mechanics college :P also I can get to 80mph not problem, although I wouldn't because it is illegal :O
DC
-
Also Q driving is a no go :( lost my job, I am leaving college :S and joining the Navy :) so won't be able to bock anymore :(
DC
-
arrrggggg wot wot happening pm if need
-
Nexus is nice but CBR has more to it, some reason I feel a lot more comfortable on it :P
DC
Sounds like you have ridden a Nexus?
-
been on the back of one :P
DC
-
Yep DC but can you get to 50 on the local common or through a stream :Claugh:
And what happens to yours when you drop it 10 feet at 40
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
-
Then you can't compare the CBR 125 to a Nexus 500 as its a whole world of difference between riding and being a pillion :Claugh:
Got my bocks today, but received no dispatch e-mail so when I got home from work £180 of projumps were sitting on my doorstep for the world to see as the courier just dumped them there, I would be mad if someone had stole them but it does save me a journey so I'm a happy bunny...
...except I ordered a nut hat from SkateHut and they apparently dispatched yesterday no sign of a card left by the courier, no parcel, and the tracking doesn't work :Crealmad:
... and the body armour I also ordered which was sent by DHL is in Enfield... not so bad as I have organized to pick it up tomorrow... but nut hat is most important though!!!

Hey there, glad you got your bocks ok, but if you could pm me your delivery name / address I'd like to find out why DPD left them on your doorstep without a signature :-o
Also usually you should receive and email from DPD to say your goods are on their way with a tracking number so they have failed on two counts!
-
Yup DPD are usually excellent. You can even tag on your mobile number to the tracking number and they will text you an ETA usually within an hour time slot. Amazing service in my experience.
If they had been stolen, you wouldnt even know about it and then Naz would have to shove some stilts up DPD's backside!
-
pm sent to naz
Tried to track down my nut hat, but seems SkateHut sent it via RoyalMail yesterday and they said I should have received it today. Trip to the nearest post office to see if as usual its been attempted to be delivered but the imbecile post person didn't leave a card.
-
If Naz is going to insert anything I have some bits of Rusty Car you can swap for the stilts
Wouldn't want to waste a pair of stilts :Claugh:
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
-
u may not have a card for simple reason that a delivery has not yet been attempted. Skatehut may say u 'should' have had it, doesnt mean they r correct....... soz but 3 guess who i work 4
-
I only said the above because of past experiences at this address, I have not had a single problem before with Royal Mail and hundreds of other parcels I have received... I was only venting my frustration with my nearest post office currently as they seem to 'forget' to leave the cards. No offence meant mate :Mwink:
-
Royal mail are the best here. Especially if the guy on the bike has a parcel..he really doesn't want to be carrying that thing..so...he makes sure you don't miss him lol. One thing, this is with all including royal mail, maybe royal main more so..but they often card us..but don't knock...I know when I am expecting something. I listen for the letter box..no knocking but I near the letter box. It's annoying as I have to bike like 5 miles to get it!
-
still no helmet!!! grrr... I may just refuse delivery (if it ever comes) get my money back and buy one tomorrow so I can bock this weekend.
