i'm sorry alex it must be all the time spent trying to fix my stilts. with tyre socks
i go thru them probably 1 a fortnight, given up on tire socks all together now:/
until my 7leagues arrive :D

they dont make the stilt look tatty, esp when they are pink, green, white

You rightfully dark-castles2, I could do it with the tires of the bike, I used those of "Vespa" because they are much more durable and last longer.
I do not go crazy for it like you but where I live is not easy to buy them cheap and would not be convenient to sort through this website, and then somehow I try to remedy the problem.

If I understand yuo, you don't like them becouse are consumed immediately, then why don't you try this type of tires?

I can answer that question :D Unfortuantly it is hard to get hold of car or Motorbike tyres here. Devon has a huge policy on tyres, and they are insinurated or recycled. Which makes it difficult to find them :(
