just been wotching a tv prog on the domesday book ( ern aka 1086) and some expert has said its shot full of abreviations and if it wasnt it would be 3 times longer but people then would have understood, just as we know Mr and Mrs mean Mister and Missus.
Well all I can say is wot was good enuff for Billy I....
