Any other suggestions?

Not quite sure what you are getting at, those footplates are designed to rotate if you haven't realised.
-
The footplate is not rotating, the foot is.
-
knock the sides of the heels in using a mallet or equivalent.

I'm sorry Biohazard , but as soon as the foot moves (or rotate) on the footplate, the knee goes its own way and I lose in stability, I do not understand why they were designed for this purpose!

Had the same problem with mine mate
As Naz said just knock the edges of the upright bit in so they grip the sides of your shoes
Solves the problem completely

Thank you Jason, thank you Naz, I'll try to knock the edges of the upright, but now I have a another serious problem!
My left spring has been broken!
Do you know where could I buy a pair of spings for Powerstrider Olympic (I from Italy!)?
Naz do you have available?
thank you
