Hey me and a friend from uni are trying to make stilt trousers (simple design and are a bit stuck ) for a festival in january
could someone post some instructions or simple designs please to help us out
some design instruction would be brilliant

I took a pair of simple school trousers, then got two sheets of 1m50 by 1m50 sheets of cotton jersey then attached one sheet to each leg in a cone like shape, but where it is attached to the leg, it starts at the top of the thigh on the outside and loops around the leg so it is on the inside half way down the thigh, they didnt turn out that bad for a first time make :L Hopefully i can post pics after our meet on saturday :)

The Clown trousers I made were easy
I just laid a pair of my jeans on to the material and chalked round them but about 2" bigger
Made the legs a lot wider (like flares) so there was enough room for the springs to compress ( look at some pics of people jumping and measure them
I made the trousers about 4" short of the floor and left them as flares ( they don't seem to get caught up)
Worst bit is how much material you need :Claugh:
