hey folks, has anyone else had the problem of the velcro straps that tighten your leg to the knee-bar keep coming loose and occasianly comming undone altogether? Im sure I cant be the only one with this problem. has anyone else found this and if so anyone got a soloution as I have fell a few times when it comes loose. cheers guys!
-
Can't say i've had that happen but can see how it would cause you to fall over though. Only time i've loosened them or similar is when i've caught them on something.

i do not see any way of fixing this other than ordering the part from the spare parts menu (although i cannot remember if that part is available to buy)
maybe you have fat legs :P
-
chhers guys. mabyee ill just attach cable ties to my legs and the risers everytime I go out!!!!! that will solve it!!
-
well you could just try some temporary mesure to attach it yourself
-
ill have a look around the shed and see what I can dig out
-
Personally I;ve NEVER had the velcro come off, lapse or break in anyway shape or form. Yours may be a bit crappy.
That or your subjecting it to a sudden great gain of width this stretching it and breaking the numerous tiny loops.
-
have you tried attaching it loosley? but not too loosley
-
cheers guys. It seems to be sorted now. not really have any problems with them now!! thanks for the help

Hmmm, my legs were a little too small, so the straps were a bit loose, so I cut up a foam mat thing and wrapped my legs in it, to pack it out. It made it much more comfy too!
-
i have two straps supplied with mine to lash them to my legs....tht little strap connected to the pj, to me it is a last resort if the binding straps come off
-
yea.. use the leash that came with them. thats what its for,, secureing your leg to the kneebar ;)

you may need to go out and buy some.. they help A LOT...
-
what the hell are you doing in that picture kiola???...lol
-
no i aint got them but i am fitting an extra strap on for saftey.
-
i wear knee pads makes my leg bigger and protects me more aswell and the straps seem alot tighter and improves my skill which is a bonus
-
Yeh, my knee pads give me a lot more stability and padding.

I can gve you 3 options to secure the knee more securely to the PJ.
a/'Calf-Cuff' cost about £80 I think. Officially not available in the UK at the moment. You have to know someone on the continent to buy them for you and get them to send them to you ( a couple of friends have done this).
Basically, its a replacement for the knee bar. A wrap around padded pad about 4-5'' wide.
b/ Go get a couple of those roof rack webbing straps and wrap them around your legs and tie tight.
c/ 'Pinhead 69' straps ( google you should find them). Basically a refinement of the above. Its an 'X' shaped arrangement of wbbing with quick release buckles and a strap to secure the arrangement to the knee bar. Cost is about a £10 inc p&p.
If you look at the picture below, the 4 people on the left. 3 have option b whilst me ( the 1 waving ;D) have option c
