:Cnah: Ive just got my first pair of bocks for my birthday today and when I put them on, theyre making a loud sort of knocking sound when I just walk around in them. When I try to jump, they make an even louder sound and they don't spring much at all. I am just over the minimum weight for this size and I'm used to springing around coz I do trampolining. Im wondering if theres anything locking them in place maybe put there for delivery. Has anyone else had this problem? :Cmask:

Are these Exo's (the new model)?
Can you post a video?
Something doesnt sound right. Ha see what i did there!

Don't worry too much about them not being too springy straight away. Most new stilts tend to be a bit stiff to start with. They should soften up as you use them more, and you will get more spring as your effort in your running / bouncing increases.
As Locky says though the knocking doesn't sound right. Might just be a loose bolt somewhere? Have a look and see if anything needs tightening.
Posting a video on here would def help to find any problem.
And congratulations on getting your first pair.

Thanks guys. I'll have a check of all the bolts and take some video of them making this noise. They're pro jumps by the way. I still love them whatever noise they make. I think I'll get my dad to put some oil on all the joints as well. :Cwink:

Sounds good.
If you do want to oil the joints, I would suggest you use a silicone based spray or lubricant and not something like WD40.
3 in 1 oil should also be ok.

Ok thanks. I'll let you know how I get on.

its the bearings, dont owrry about it, infact get used to it most brands do that.

Where are you from Christian? Maybe there is someone near you that you could meet up with for some practice and to have a look and check out the noise?

I do not say nothing about "noise" and "stilts" ;-)
Some time in the future, we will have to discuss, what's the meaning of the word "bearing"
-
Speedjumper what the hell
your asking us what the noise is then your gettin sarcky sayin you didnt say anything about a noise.
not on dude.
-
Christian asked, not me ;-) I have no stilts with noise.

Rare for Exo's to make noise
I took a brand new set to the sunday meet and the constant saying was how quiet they were In fact it causes problems as people don't hear you :Claugh:
Sorry to correct you here Graham but 3 in 1 is oil and I wouldn't sugest using it on them as it can react with some nylons
Any silicon based spray lube/grease is fine
WD40 contains no silicon but it also contains very little oil and is the kiss of death to anything with ballbearings as it washes the grease out and leaves them to run dry
Don't get me wrong WD40 has it's uses (Many of them) as a de-waterer and anti rust coating it is fab but not on nylon bushes
Get a vid up and let us see and hear them and then we can give advice
