Title: Wrist Protection? Any advice?

Was just wondering what brands of wrist protection you guys use? and wether some are better than others? Cheers me dears! :Cbiggrin:

Hi got some from decathlon, had them a few months now and i cant fault them! Strong, comfortable.. Had a few falls in them and my wrists were well protected.

Flexmeter

I have found the Flexmeter Multisport to be very good

Shattered my wrist got a plate and 12 screws (not wearing wristies) and then had exactly the same fall 6 months later wearing them and it just stung a bit

They are expensive at £40 but I think they are worth it I must have fallen dozens of times in them

I have had 2 pairs for 3 years + and lost count of the times they have been through the wash and they are still going strong

There was a discount thing on here a while back here at the bottom of the post 10% if it is still running

i use these from dakine there good quality and are quite small for wrist guards beacuse they were designed to fit under gloves for snowboarding. quite cheap aswell :)

i agree with jason

Flexmeter.

these are wuite deer, but have saved my backside twice now, and well worth the money, there confortable, lightweight and easy to look after.

only come in silver though :(

When I started I bought a cheep skateboard helmet

The reason behind this is that there are not many serious head injurys while learning but it is very easy to get a nasty bang if things go wrong

I wore mine until I felt that the chance of headbutting the ground was very low

So I would recommend the same as you will probably find that 3 to 6 months down the road you will not use it much unless you are trying something new for the first time

Think I got mine from e-bay or skate hut
Clive got a really cool mirrored one quite cheep somewhere
Think I paid £10-15 for it

If your gonna ask about pads next  :Claugh: they used to do Pit Dirt ones on here that were fab for bocking but think they can't get them any more
The new ones look good but I've not tried them yet

Nice 1 jason, got a set of pads the other day seem ok but the wrist guards don't fit, so i'm gonna have to get some.  :Cbiggrin:

if you want a goo dhelmet, anything thats, pro-tec, bern, or anythingover £30 is what you shoudl be looking at

BEWARE NOT ALL HELMETS ARE MULTIPLE INPACT RESISTANT AND MAKE SURE THEY APPROVE TO CE STANDARDS!
