Title: How Do You Remove Hoofs??
Post by: sk8sean on March 19, 2011, 11:21:51 PM: I have been bocking for a couple of weeks, and need to replace the hoofs as i can now see metal thorugh it ( im guessing that isn't to good...)
I have a pair of Pro Jump M80's if thats any help.

Post by: billymaya on March 19, 2011, 11:36:25 PM: all depends what type of hoofs you have i believe if they are the fixed ones you'll have to buy the hoof and the leg small leg section its attached to or if it the bolt on ones just simply undo the bolts and buy the replacement rubbers form the pro jump shop think they are about 15 quid a pair,id also suggest making your self some tyre socks as this will save you so much money in the long run they are really easy to make and cheap to replace when you wear through them you can pick up good used tyres for a couple of quid at your local tip/dump hope this helps

I'm guessing you dont have the exo model (latest one) as changing the feet on those really couldnt be more simple and obvious.

Only way to replace them was with the whole ally hoof section which I think is no longer available

The good news is that you can replace the ally section with the later one that has bolt on hoof

From what I remember you only needed new bearings tube and bracket on the very early ones (with the straight sides)

From your pics it looks like you have the later ones with the cranked sides so they should fit ok

Can't remember off the top of my head but the hoofs were about £30 a set but might have gone up a bit as that was a few years ago

Contact PJ and they should have a few spares in stock

Chancing them is just a case of unbolting and pulling the bearings out

Post by: sk8sean on March 20, 2011, 01:08:50 PM: Instead of going through all that fuss, as I have no idea what half of the stuff on my PJ's does ( im a newbie) I reckon ill just make a couple of pairs of tyre socks until I can afford my EXO's ;) I also dont really have £30 quid to spare at the moment
